Monster Under My Drivers Seat!!!! AGGHHHH!!!

Hee hee!

My brother found a baby possum in his yard two years ago and he adopted it. He was a cute little bugger, we called him Junior. Did you know possums have opposable thumbs? He ate chicken salad and carrots. We caught him cleaning out his ears with his finger (?) once. The best part was he slept in a tube sock that hung from his cage. He only came out about once a day.

Though I thought Junior was a cute little guy and didn't mind holding him, I don't think I'd want to encounter a grown possum in my car!

Read it again this morining. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That has got to be one of the best posts I have ever read on ANY board!

That is one of the funniest stories I have read in a LONG time!!!!!!

Great story! A good laugh is a good way to start the day. Thank you. :rotfl:

*****UPDATE********

First off, I am glad to see so many people laughing and smiling at this. I have been telling the story over and over again in my office and people are cracking up.

My wife just called from the Auto Detail center in town. She had them remove the front seats and steam clean all the rugs. The are now detailing the car to the tune of $200!!! Anyway, I bet it's the safest thing to do since they may carry ticks.

BTW....if you know of any Marsupials that need a lift, just have them drop me a PM ;)

Did the marsupial get relocated to a good or bad neighborhood?? Better think about that...he may be back... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I really needed a good laugh this morning and you provided it. This was so funny. I am sorry that you had this happen to you. I have not read all of the posts, but has anyone suggested that you send your story to Readers Digest? Your post reminded me of a Dave Barry column.

I just went to ReadersDigest.com and submitted it. I figure what the heck! If they print it I get $500. If I win I will donate the money to my local opossum rescue society, or buy a pair of metal thigh high boots for driving in my car. :)

I have three words for you. Best....Post....Ever!

I can't stop laughing. I was laughing so hard that my 7 1/2 month old DD started looking at me funny, then she started laughing until she fell over sideways...which just made me laugh harder.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

This is truly a DIS classic in the making. Remember those DIS corn people shirts from years ago...I think we need DIS Possum Chauffeur shirts now! :rotfl:

That is hysterical. I know it wasn't to you but the way you wrote it was awesome.

"likes to wear metal thigh highs" :rotfl: :rotfl:

I see the Tag Fairy has already visited you!!

I had my DH read it this morning when he came home from work. He had tears rolling down his face. I hope you make it ino the Digest then I can say "Hey! I 'know' that guy!"

OMG :rotfl2: !

You are soo lucky it didn't attack! My step dad was trapped on top of the the washing machine in their shed for three hours by a mean butted opposum before it decided to leave!

I know this probably wasn't funny at the time but the image it conjures up made me laugh almost as hard as the original post.

OMG!!!!!! After I screamed like a girl who just saw the Beatles live on the Ed Sullivan show, I decided I needed to do something. My head said "run like the wind Fat Man", but my heart said be a man and get the kids out of the car.

Truly the funniest (and most honest) words ever uttered (typed) on the DIS. I am seriously ROLLING here, how did I miss this earlier? :rotfl:

Gotta print this out for DH to read. OMG.....too too funny. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: Thank you for the sacrifice you made to make us all laugh here -- very very funny!!!

I hope RD prints your story. :rotfl:
