Monster Pin Madness

Nope. I checked with my travel agent at Small World and with WDW reservations. The room only Monster Pin discount only works for the exact nights that the discount is offered. It does not work for the entire length of your stay if you check in during the discount window and stay past it. She said this is the case for all room only discounts...I don't know about that, but it's definitely the case for the Monster PIN.

We used the GP 40% off for our trip last week and it was true for that also.

Save 40%
for stays most nights during these select weeks

9/1–10/9/10 • 10/24–10/30/10 • 11/14–11/20/10
11/28–12/4/10 • 12/12–12/18/10

I received this June 2nd. Unfortunately we're not going until 2012. I just have one question for those who received this offer and are going this year.... Did you already have a package booked already? We first went in 2008 and NEVER received any pin code (we booked in March to go in Dec) I always wondered if we didn't receive any pin codes because it was noted we already booked.

*Also FYI: May 10th received a Snow White themed email for 20% off deluxe for stays most nights 10/3/10–11/23/10 and 11/28/10–12/24/10*

Yes, I was booked at POR for 11/27 through 12/4. I was pleased, because last year, the 4/3 deal was not at POR that week and I had to move to another resort.

I already had my plane tickets and could not slide a day; so I did a room-only ressie for the first day and then a six night package. I still saved $525.00.

It is fabulous. I used part of it to purchase the dining plan and plan on saving the rest towards spending money.

This is by far one of the best codes I have ever seen and only the second I have ever received in the ten years I have been going annually.

As long as you arrive sometime between 11/28 and 12/4 (which you do, on 12/2), the code is for the length of your stay up to ten days, I think.

We got the code too! Weren't planning on going this year, but might change my mind now. :goodvibes

This code is different; you can only use it for the days it is good for.

If there are blocked out days, you have to pay rack rate for those days, such as what I indicated above.

Well, I called my AAA agent today and was told that I cannot use the 40% pin because we are arriving on 12/2 and leaving on 12/9. I thought I could use it for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at least, they pay full price for the other 5 days, but I cant. Lets hope now for FD. When if FD usually released for December trips?

You can at least split your ressie and get the offer for the days when the PIN is valid. I received this offer after already booking 14 nights with FD Oct 2-16 after not receiving any PIN offers for years! Go figure. I had received a different PIN a few months ago ( kids dine and play free?). One of my relatives also received the Monster PIN and did a split stay to get the offer for part of her vacation, so yes, it can be done. I'd check back with your AAA agent on this one.---Kathy

Thanks Kathy. I will call today and find out. I booked last Tuesday using the 20% code. Is it possible to do a split ressie for 3 nights of 40% and 4 nights of 20%??? I have seen on here that it can be done, just wondering if Disney doesnt like taking the time to do it. Thanks again.

Yes- you can do a split ressie with a different code on each stay.---Kathy

:mad::headache::rolleyes::snooty:

I feel your pain although I don't know anyone who has received it. If I did, I'd be furious! I'm not going in December without one so if Disney wants me there, they will send me one! :worship:

Looks like Disney wants me there. I got the Monster Savings in my mailbox today. I have to think about this...I was prepared to wait until April to save some money. Now what?

I hear that. I have NEVER received a pin code and now I have the monster code. We were going to go in Aug 2011 but now I'm thinking about December..... So confused now. I booked a package and have 7 days to decide. :confused3

My DH received the monster pin via email in HIS MOTHER'S NAME!!!
Since it's in her name we can't use it! We book every reservation under his or my email and NOTHNG for us!!!!:sad2: OP I feel your pain!!!

If you're checking in when the offer is valid, a split stay is not necessary.

A split stay would only be required if you're checking in during a blackout period.

You should, provided there's availability, be able to apply the PIN and get the discount for the nights of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. The 5th through the 8th would be priced at regular rates.
