Monsieur Paul Dress Code Question

I hesitate to ask a question like this, but I'd appreciate some real-world perspective/experience. How serious/by the book is the dress code at Monsieur Paul as detailed on the WDW website?

For context, this would be for one of the special lunch seatings on 12/31.

I'm intrigued by the menu/special day/opportunity to try Monsieur Paul, but we have a packed park day starting off very early in the morning so we'll be dressed more for theme park touring (un-tucked shirt, cargo shorts, etc) than fine dining. We don't have an opportunity to change clothes (unless I bring clothes with us and change in a bathroom) so from the description my gut is telling me it's not the right dining option for us, but just curious as to any thoughts/experiences.

Thanks!

I don’t know about the dress code (sorry!) but wow does the menu sound good. I’m kinda tempted to go. Agree with you though that for a long park day I’d want to be comfortable.

We were there in mid December in park attire, cargo shorts, disney t shirts, etc. A 6 person table next to us was all in matching MVMCP t shirts, 2 had their ears on throughout the meal There were also a few people more dressed for the occasion but it was mixed overall probably 50/50 with people in park clothes versus "country club-esque" attire.

I like the idea of dressing up for Monsieur Paul much more than the actual logistics of being dressed up there. Either you have to leave the park, get dressed at your resort and then come back or like you said, change in a bathroom in Epcot.
There will be people dressed up quite nice and others in normal park attire. I've tried to go in the middle and wear a short sleeved polo shirt that I can easily tuck into my cargo shorts and if they are with, dress my daughters in spring breezy dresses.

I dressed a little nicer than normal for a park when I went, but I don't think they are strict about it at all. I really think the only place on property to enforce the dress code would be Victoria and Albert's.

Nothing in the parks can have that strict of a dress code.
From reading it on the website seems like normal park attire is perfectly fine.
Just don't wear anything "sloppy". Meaning nothing with rips, stains, or is too revealing.
So really just your basic common sense should get the job done.

Perhaps in stead of wearing a tshirt perhaps a polo shirt and longer shorts for men and maybe dress shorts and a nice blouse and sweater for a woman. Since it is in the park they are more relaxed, but I do agree that Monsieur Paul does have the feeling of needing to dress a bit more than normal park attire. I wouldn't let it stop you from eating there if you really want to especially for a lunch.

The "dress code" at MP isn't seriously enforced. Its in a park and they don't really expect people to be dressed in anything other than park attire.

When we were there, we saw just about everything.
Some were in complete park attire, shorts and t-shirts, some in business casual, and some in suits and cocktail dresses and everything in between.
If it were in a resort, I think the dress code would be enforced. In a park, you really can't enforce the dress code and expect to be busy.

Unless you are at V&A, stay away from the prohibited list such as hats for men, torn clothing etc and you will be fine. I usually wear shorts and a Disney T shirt when we eat there. Of course thats my normal dinner attire at any WDW restaurant in the parks or resorts.

When we went we wore what we had on at the parks but it was hot weather and I had on a sundress and my son had on regular knee length men's shorts and a polo shirt since he never wears T-shirts. There was all sorts of attire there including a table with two kids next to us who were wearing ears and wallowing on the bench seat and kicking me.
