So how do you get from the TTC to MK more than 15 minutes before RD since the ferry starts 30 mins prior to park opening?
Well, to be blunt, this happened all the dang time anyway. The monorail is just too old at this point. It would break down quite consistently and has been for years now. To the point that there is no way I would have trusted it to get me somewhere if it was time sensitive.
I have found that is always a good idea to keep an extra $20 on hand, for a taxi. If the lines are too long you can always walk over to the closest taxi stand.
There should also be special buses running from TTC to the MK gates when the monorail is down.
(BTW, I'm not so sure that the ferry boats begin running only 30 minutes before MK opening time.)
On-site WDW resort guests take Disney buses directly to the MK gates area. There should also be special buses running from TTC to the MK gates when the monorail is down. (BTW, I'm not so sure that the ferry boats begin running only 30 minutes before MK opening time.)
What would be the best option for making EMH at either MK or EP from the Grand Floridian? We will be there in Sept. Are there extra buses running in the morning from the monorail resorts?
OMG, I have no idea what you people are talking about. I was at the Poly 4th of July week and the monorails were always on time. We made rope drop each day and the monorail ran each night one hour past posted park closing. I was there in January and the monorail was running a limited schedule during the middle of the day. I even asked CM's about this when we arrived last week and I wad told they would be on a regular running schedule. My biggest complaint were all of the people not staying in a monorail resort using the resort line to return to the TTC instead of the express line.
They didn't have the limited hours around the 4th due to the crowdsOMG, I have no idea what you people are talking about. I was at the Poly 4th of July week and the monorails were always on time. Except you can't take a taxi from the front of the MK.

Well, now it sounds like it really needs maintenance, so maybe I should stop complaining. Praying everyone who was trapped today is ok physically and emotionally.
You can take the 5 minute walk to the Contemporary and get a taxi.![]()
help! How would I get from the Poly to an early breakfast in the Magic Kingdom at 8:05 when the park opens at 9am? The boats don't start until 8:30 or did they move them up to accommodate the monorail work?
