Monorail question

We are arriving later today for a stay at the Disneyland Hotel. My question is- if I arrive at DLH and want to get my park tickets scanned just to try to pick up FP, is it faster to access the park at the monorail or do I have to walk all the way to the main entrance to scan my tickets?

Wow, great question. I have never done it but scanning at the Monorail should totally work - assuming you are talking about MaxPass.

Yes that will work. I took the Monorail into the park yesterday and saw people getting their pictures taken, so it works for those who haven't activated their tickets yet. Once they scan your tickets you can buy maxpass(if you didn't prepurchase it), or begin making your selections.

I will say the monorail is the fastest option. However, there is always the possibility it won’t open Right away because of difficulties. Though generally the CM will give a little notice that they might not open and you can bail. Also the line there is shorter usually, takes a while to build up, so as long as you get on the first monorail you are dropped off for the best part of rope drop or EMM.

Also don’t forget to ask to ride in front. Opening is the easiest time to ask and most likely to be granted.

I have MP. We have F! dinner reservations at Hurgry Bear but will have couple of hours between dinner and show. I just don’t want to wait until we enter for dinner. I’m hoping to catch a FP or 2 for that time in between-but we left the Midwest at 5 am, so a nap sounds good too
