I am pretty sure I know the answer but since I am traveling with a group who think of me as the Disney expert, I dont want to mess this up. ;)

We are staying at the POR and have a 9:15 ADR at Chef Mickey's.
Is taking the bus to the MK and then getting on the monorail to the Contemp the easiest way to get there?

Also, we don't have to enter the parks to get on the monorail, do we?

Thanks

no need to enter the park to get onto the monorail
you can also take the boat from MK to Contemp

Thanks for the quick reply. I leave in about 2 hours! :cool1:

Another option is just walking to the CR...since you have to walk past the main entrance to the MK and then up to the monorail platform, and then you may have to wait for the next car to come along, it may be faster to just walk. When you get off the bus, head to the main area, then stay right and follow the sidewalk to the CR..with the buses on your right, MK on your left. It takes about 8 mins and is very pleasant unless it is raining or super humid. That's what we always do.

Thanks, I did not even think of that as an option.

It's a fairly decent walk between the MK bus area and the monorail platform. It might even be equivalent to about half the distance from the MK bus area to Contemporary (but in the opposite direction). So after that walking, you then have to wait for a monorail to arrive, and when it does it will typically sit at the station for a minute or two, and so on ....

As long as the walking isn't a problem, I think walking from the MK bus area to Contemporary is your quickest option.

Thanks....I think we will walk. You guys are making me look good with my group. ;)
I have a wealth of info to share with them!!

"Well group, we can take the boat but it is not direct. We can take the monorail bit considering the distance from the busses to the monorail and not to mention the waiting time, I think it would be easiest if we just walked. Here, follow me, I know the way".

Won't they be impressed? :rotfl:

I love Chef Mickey and the CR. Have fun. BTW the walk is short from MK to CR, but you've probably already left.....

Nope, still here waiting for DH to get in the shower. He loves to make me nervous.

Thanks!!

So, I wonder how breakfast went... anyone else curious? LOL

A little napkin waiving, hugs for the characters and that awesome buffet breakfast... I wanna go back!

There are no WDW Watercraft going directly from the MK to the Contemporary. From the MK, by boat, one take a Green Flag boat to the Wilderness Lodge then transfer to a Blue Flag Motor Launch at the WL to the Contemporary.

A WDW Watercraft CM

I assume the OP has already left for WDW, however I will still post this for anyone else who may have the same question in the future. While walking from the Magic Kingdom bus station to the Contemporary does seem faster then taking the Monorail, if you took the Monorail once you arrive at the Contemporary you get off at the 4th floor and have very quick walk to Chef Mickey's. By walking you enter threw lobby and can either take the elevator to the 4th floor, or the two esclators from the 1st floor and 2nd floor which will take you to the 4th floor.
