Monorail question

As I understand it, the monorail is not running the full loop around the park because of the construction in the lagoon, right? So does it just run from DD into Tomorrowland and then back again, so you can still use it to get in and out of the park? Is it going to be closed at all in the next few months?

Yes, it's in shuttle mode, going back and forth over the DCA portion of the loop. Yes, you can still take it in and out of the parks, but the first few hours on busy days seem to be reserved for DLR hotel guests only going in. I believe it will be shutting down completely in September in order to finish the Subs station and to build a new monorail station.
