Nerdy Minnie-I am so jealous! I can't stand it! Hey...do you think there is ANY chance you two could come to WDW the dates we will be there in Oct? Oct 9-16th. I bet you two would LOVE PftS...we will be there Oct 15 (Sat.) We are planning a "grown ups only night" on either Sun or Mon night of our stay...gonna hit Blue Zoo for cocktails and dinner! Join us!

MegMeg-Yes, it might be best to park at CR...just in case. I am an early night partier myself. I truly am a "happy hour" kinda gal. My DH and I like to be in bed by 10 pm or so...does that make us old fogies? Oh well...as long as he and I are on the same wavelength, that is all that matters!

WLL, what's PftS?

Our costumes for MNSSHP (we're going Oct 30) arrived! DH is going to be Capt Jack Sparrow, I'm going to be a pirate wench and DD8 will be a punk pirate. We had a little "dress rehearsal" and we're so excited! DH has agreed to wear makeup (just black eyeliner). This is the first time I put on a costume in years! Here's a pix of us last year:

WLL - No way, that doesn't make you old fogies at all! DH and I are very much early birds too. Even when we go to Jellyrolls we still leave by 11pm or so. I've gotta have my sleep.

Cristy-Great Pic! We are doing MNSSHP on Oct 13th. DD insisted on being "Kim Possible" and we already got her costume at the Disney Store. Now we just have to jazz it up a bit. I am still deciding on what her dad and I can be. I have never been "into" Halloween. This is the first year I actually care about finding a costume! Oh, and PftS=Party for the Senses. $100 per person and unlimited wine from different wineries, and unlimited "sample portions" of foods from chefs. Entertainment by some Cirque Du Soleil Perfomers. It is a F&W Fest event at Epcot! I am so excited!!!!

Meg-Yeah...good to know I am not getting old just yet...if you young 'uns hit the hay early, too!

Ok, plans have changed a bit. We're going this Sunday (11th) til Monday. So unfortunately we wont be able to meetup on Saturday night.

However, we will be partying it up around the World all day on Sunday and ending up at Jellyrolls in the evening. So (1MegMeg) if you want to meetup then, that'll be great!

We're staying at the Boardwalk Villas again, you guys have no idea how excited Meli and I are!

Or REALLY cheap since it always seems to cost at least $20/drink in play to get my "free" drinks

Cristy - I can't take it any more!! Please don't be offended, but I HAVE to ask! Is your DH just happy to be with his family or a proud Star Trek geek? I'd be a proud Star Trek geek this Halloween, but you'll NEVER catch me in one of those spandex body suits even if they make them large enough!!

maine_jennifer, I almost fell off my chair laughing at your question! Actually, his costume was just a pair of black slacks plus the Star Trek shirt, so it was a comfortable and easy costume. He actually looked very distinguished (and to answer your question, he was both happy to be with his family and a proud Star Trek fan!).

WLL & Meg, you can add me to the list of early birds. Since I have to get up around 5:30 am every morning, I am usually in bed by 9:30 pm. So, I'm already "conditioned" to go to bed early, even on vacation (though I try to go to bed a little later, like at 10:00!) My DH, on the other hand, is the opposite... makes it for interesting vacations.... I go to bed early and get up early.... poor DH has no choice.... but he has learned to follow my lead and go to bed early when we go to WDW cuz he knows I'll wake him up bright and early whether he wants to or not!

Ahh and Minnie - Have tons of fun on Sunday! Too bad we'll be missing each other. We are heading home Sunday afternoon, so we'll probably be leaving right when you are arriving.

I was SURE someone else would ask it, but I couldn't wait any longer. Nice idea for the costume! I think I'll stick with my pirate wench costume for MNSSHP on 10/2.

And count me in on the early to bed, early to rise group. I absolutely HATE it though!!!! But since I have to leave my house at 7:30am, 5 days a week, there is no other choice. The things I do for health insurance and Disney vacation money!

I've been thinking about that! I know I'll be wearing clothes, but it's hard to say exactly what the outfit will consist of, though I'm not hard to miss. lynn71092 and I will be meeting at PC, so we'll at least be together. One unique thing I came up was that I'd wear my Cinderella crown, but that might not be so unique at WDW. Then again, not many adults in lounges are wearing crowns! Oh, I don't know!!!

Wheee, what a great weekend! POR is wonderful (I think I love it even more than POFQ), the crowds were low, and we had an awesome time!

Checked in around 3pm on Friday in the mansion (Oak Manor) section of POR, our room looked out into the couryard and river - couldn't have asked for a better view. It rained so we hung out in the room for a bit and then rented a paddleboat down at the marina.

In the evening we headed over to the BW for dinner at Big River Brewery and an evening at Jellyrolls. Before dinner we played the hit-the-lobster-in-the-pot game (we play it everytime we go there) and this time we got 3 lobsters in so we won the large prize. Whoohoo! We picked the big dolphin.

Saturday we went to Epcot for a few hours and rode Soarin', The Land boat ride, Mission Space, Universe of Energy, and Test Track all in about 2 hours. No crowds! It was great! We had a late lunch at the Yorkshire Co. Fish and chips place at England before we left.

Saturday evening was our monorail drinkathon. We went to WL, CR, Poly, and GF. Whew!

LOL...so THERE is the pic of you with your DM! OMG...that pic of you drinking that at the TL almost put a tear in my eye. You think I am exaggerating, but I am NOT. Did they put the blue cheese stuffed olives in? So tell me...what drink did you have at each stop? What was that you were drinking at Mizner's? Did you eat along the way?

I am so happy to hear you loved POR. I can't wait to see it for myself.

You and your DH look like the sweetest couple. You are adorable...you look like you are under 21...do you ever get carded? I bet you do!
