Ooooo! That is Aiden??? He is sooo cute! LOL at the pic...where is that? You have him hanging out at tiki bars already?

It was at the beach (Treasure Island) when we were there the 4th of July week. The bartender mixed him up a couple of kiddie cocktails!

I am still planning to be there, DH and I are trying to take the 30th off work so we can get there earlier in the day.

There was a thread on the restaurant board about the best burgers in WDW, it made me think the only way to really find out on which is the best burger is to go on a burger trek myself.

Places in mind so far:
Brewery (been there, done that, love it!)
ESPN
Beaches and Cream (lots of raving about this place)
Kona Cafe (supposedly the burger here is huuuge)
Concourse Steakhouse (had a burger here, it was OK)

now I have to find some more places *rubs belly*...

A Monorail Drink-A-Thon is just a little way for adults to have their own harmless fun at WDW.

Inspired by the DISboard thread "Monorail Drink-A-Thon",
a small group of Disney friends will be embarking on
a monorail journey of their own on Friday, September 30th.
(The time has yet to be determined, but it will most likely start around 6 or 7 pm.)

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

We will start by whetting our whistles at the Territory Lounge in Wilderness Lodge.
Yes, we are aware that it is not actually on the monorail line, but we’re ok with that.

From there, we will take a relaxing boat ride to the first stop on
our Monorail Drink-A-Thon, the Outer Rim at the Contemporary.

After the required libation, we’ll hop on the monorail and make
our way to the next stop, the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian.

Our last stop on the Monorail Drink-A-Thon
will be at Mizner’s at the Grand Floridian.

A true Monorail Drink-A-thon should end with the MK Mountain Crawl -
Space Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad and Splash Mountain.
Sadly however, as this is the first night of Mickey’s
Not-So-Scary Halloween party, that won’t be possible.

What a fun way to meet new people, and to eat, drink, and be merry!

If anyone would like to 'eat, drink, and be merry' along with us,
teetotalers too, please PM me for more information.

I have donned my flame suit as I am sure there are many who will object to our little Disney Meet. That said, while everyone is entitled to their opinion, we are entitled to have fun however we chose. As a responsible poster, I include the following:

Please be a responsible Disney guest and don't overindulge to the point that you're

a.) acting like an obnoxious jerk and ruining the magic for others

or

b.) reintroducing your beverages and snacks to those around you.

Most importantly, with all the Disney transportation options, there is no reason for you to don't drink and drive.

Lynn, if not a cab, take the bus to MK and take the boat from MK to WL, and you're set!

If I can make a suggestion, after Mizner's Lounge, everyone should head over to the Boardwalk and finish off the night @ Jellyrolls! Great place to relax, have a good time, and have a few more drinks!

Thanks - I'm trying to post it in the Adult/Solo Traveler's forum, too, but I'm having difficulties. I'll have to try later on. I belong to a few disney groups and I'm posting it everywhere.

I'll change the time to a definite when we have a real time, but for now I said 6 or 7. Really ANY time after 2pm is good for me. And I just posted those lounges to have some details, we can change along the way, too.

Lynn- You can take a bus from PC to MK, then take a boat to WL. That's what I'll be doing from PO-R.

I'll probably do the bus going there and a cab coming back.
(I tend to get lost .....)

It's easier coming back though! If you come back from the monorail line, get off the monorail at MK and take a Pop bus. If we end up at Jellyrolls, that might require the cab cause you'd have to bus or boat it to Epcot or MGM and then bus it to Pop.

I strongly second Ahhhhh's Jellyroll's recommendation! A LOTW drink-fest just isn't complete without Jellyrolls.

Yes, definitely! . Though you don't have to get plastered if you don't want to....have as much or as little drinkie as you like.

1MegMeg: where do you guys like to sit? (Jellyrolls) On the floor or near the bar? We sat in the high chair area across the bar (literally 2 feet away) and had (imo) the best view of the show. You can tell from our picture (from our report a few pages ago) that we were on the side, but we enjoyed it a lot. The mirror behind them adds a great effect, because you can see them playing!
