Monorail: Contemporary direct to MK?

Does the monorail go directly from the Contemporary to the MK, or do you have to go via the TTC and switch loops?

I have never been to CR but it is my understanding that as a part of the monorail resorts you can get straight to MK from there..

On the resort loop, the monorail will go from the Contemporary, to the TTC,
to the Polynesian, the Grand Floridian, and then the MK.

On the express loop, it only stops at the TTC and the Magic Kingdom.

In my opinion, minus any rain, it's easier and faster to just walk from the
Contemporary to the MK.

Taking the monorail from the Contemporary to the MK, you don't have to get off at TTC. However, it's the "local" monorail which will stop at the TTC, Poly, Grand Floridian, and then the MK.

From the Contemporary, you can walk via a pathway to the MK or take the monorail which will make 3 additional stops (TTC, Poly, GF) before stopping directly at the Magic Kingdom.

We were in CR in Jan. We found the monorail exactly as described here, with MK being the last stop. But once, and only once, the monorail was going in the opposite direction and it stopped at MK first. We never saw that again all week.

Everytime my family & I have stayed at the Contemporary we have taken the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom, however next month when we were we plan to walk to the Magic Kingdom. Also even with the Resort Monorail stoping at the TTC, Polynesian & Grand Floridian it can also some times stop on the track when there is another Monorail ahead already in the station so that also takes up time.
