I am ashamed to say even with my many trips to the world i am confused by the monorail system. We are doing a chef mickeys brunch before the christmas party on nov 17th so i am conused how do we get to the magic kingdom from the contemporary by monorail . I read on the site that there are two stops one at ttc and one at magic kingdom if i already have the tickets to the party do we just stay on the monorail for the ttc stop and ride it till the magic kingdom stop? Thanks in advance

In this situation, there's only one option: you get on the monorail at the contemporary and get off when you get to MK. The only line that stops at the contemporary is the resort monorail. It will also stop at the TTC, the Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian before arriving at MK

FYI: It's quite a bit faster to walk than to take the monorail.

It will be a 20-30 minute trip on the monorail. Or about 15 minutes walking.

Really 20-30 minutes how long would it take by bus..walking not an option have an elderly person with us

You'll have to go up the elevator or escalator from Chef Mickey's to the Monorail platform. You'll have to wait for a train to arrive. Then, you'll make stops at the TTC, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian before you reach the Magic Kingdom where you'll have to walk down the ramps. Yes, I'd expect 20-30 minutes.

As noted, there is no bus. Will the elderly person have a scooter? The walk really isn't that far.
