Monorail closures

I did some hunting and could not find that it was updated based on rehab/closures, so I was going to test it before buying the app.

It's not an App, and you don't need to buy it.
It's just a free website.

Some of it's good info. Some gives routes and modes that do not exist.

I'm sorry, but when you book a monorail resort you are paying for the convenience of being able to take advantage of that service. If that service is down, for Disney to not offer some type of discount for the inconvenience is ridiculous. A few extra buses or boats aren't gonna cut it. Deluxe resorts are already incredibly overpriced as it is. Customer service is slowly being replaced by outright greed.

Just shut the monorail down completely and fix what's needed (if that's even possible) instead of this piecemeal stuff.

Ugh. I'm staying at the club ntemporary and have dinner reservations at the grand Floridian. Will a bus take me there? If it says mom rail closed that means all of them?

Laughingplace is available as an app for cost from App Store. OLP version for $1.99 and GPS version for $2.99.

FYI (1) I have not tested it for current and changing monorail closure schedule and (2) GPS version is just to access your current location and feedback is that it is not for car paths (or routes if you prefer).

UPDATE: app (or website if you prefer) does not account for current monorail closure.

Modified service from 1/13/16-3/20/16:

Epcot beam overnight closures
11:00pm Sundays-9:00am Mondays
11:00pm Mondays-9:00am Tuesdays
Express beam overnight closures
11:30pm Sundays-9:30am Mondays
11:30pm Mondays-9:30am Tuesdays
Resort beam overnight closures
12:00am-8:30am Mondays
12:00am-8:30am Tuesdays
Monorail shut down
11:30am-6:00pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays

I am traveling May 26-June 5, so this schedule might change for us. But, would really appreciate a peer review of this logic. Universal is planned for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday- so we will be relying on WDW transportation on Friday, Saturday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning at MK (9am-noon). Am I right to assume that only "Monorail shut down 11:30am-6pm on Wednesday and Thursday" is my only concern using this modified service schedule?

This is the most information I've been able to dig up, you should be able to make your plans accordingly. As I've stated before only the express beamway(stops at MK and TTC only) will be affected. The resort and Epcot rails will be up daily without midday shutdowns. http://www.disboards.com/threads/modified-monorail-service-schedule-1-13-16-to-3-20-16.3478605/

I'm unsure about what you mean by "course paths."

Are you tackling about Monorail loops?
If so:

There are actually THREE monorail routes (with multiple trains running on each route).

On each route, the trains will "loop" around and around on their own unique track.

1) "Epcot Monorail" TTC > Epcot > TTC > (loop runs clockwise)
2) "MK Express Monorail" TTC > MK > TTC > (loop runs counter-clockwise)
3) "Resort Monorail" TTC > Poly > Grand Floridian > MK > Contemp. > TTC > (loop runs clockwise)

As you can see, you can transfer from or to any monorail at the TTC (which is also the MK parking lot.)

When they are running, you may ride any and all of these, if you like.
They do not "let you out" INSIDE any theme-park,
so you don't need a park ticket.

"Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas."

Thank you SO much for this! As a WDW newbie, I had no idea what each of the "beams" actually serviced. :thanks:

While the Express Beam may be out, the Resort Beam is a great alternative. It takes a bit longer, but it allows you to see the Resorts too.

Just returned from Poly. We experienced a few monorail closures - we walked to TTC late one morning and the Express Monorail was shut down. Most people were waiting for the boat to MK, but we just hopped on the Resort Monorail and got off at MK. Another evening after 11pm DD was in MK and said both the Express and Resort Monorail were not operating so she took the boat back to Poly. I imagine she could have taken a bus as well. All in all wasn't too inconvenient.
