Would love to purchase 5 pairs of monogrammed mouse ears (or a similar hat). Have read that you can purchase them at Chapeau on Main Street (MK) or Geigers Counter in Tomorrowland (MK). Which store would you recommend (better selection)? Could we also get other hats monogrammed or just the mickey ear hats?
Do you know how much the mickey ears cost including monogramming?

Also wondering about the Outpost Shop in AK. They sell a safari hat with mouse ears. Can you also get these monogrammed? Would you recommend this style of hat over the standard MM ears.

Which is your favourite monogrammed hat and why?

Any advise/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We got the mouse ears for $6 at the chapeau place on main street and monogramming is free. I think the ears are classic Disney but the straw safari hat is very cute also-just not sure if these can be monogrammed.

LOL! I read "monogram" as MAMMOGRAM. I thought, 'why would you want mouse ears on an xray of your breasts?' heeheehee. S

Are you aware if any colours (other then just black) are available at the Chapeau for the mickey mouse ear hats?????

Also, for hockey mom (or anyone who drives from GTA area, do you drive from Peterborough? We will be driving from Omemee and haven't started planning a route yet. Have been told that I-95 or I-75 are both good, but I think I prefer I-75.

Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to recall a pink one but I am not sure if it is the wedding one I am thinking of.

We have driven many times. If you are driving in the winter take I-75 the whole way. More rest areas, and not as curvy. I hate the drive to Windsor though so we cross over at Fort Erie and work our way over to I-75. On the other hand if weather is not a problem we like the 79/77/95 route. Very scenic and a wee bit shorter. Basically we do both for variety. We got great airfare out of Buffalo though-$908 CDN for the 5 of us to fly.

By the way when are you planning on going and will this be your first trip?

This will be our first drive to Florida (and first trip to WDW in 21 years). We are leaving 10 am Saturday Dec. 18 (we can't leave any earlier because DH won't get home from work until about 2 a.m. and wants to sleep before we leave). We are hoping to get to the U.S. the first day (Michigan or maybe Ohio I guess) and then find an inexpensive motel room. Sunday we will leave Michigan/Ohio and drive as far as we can until DH needs to sleep (he is the only one who will be driving and we will also have DS4 and DD7 with us). Then Monday morning (Dec 20) we will continue driving until we reach our hotel (Comfort Inn LBV). Will visit AK Dec 21 , MK Dec 22 and then head to Panama City Beach Dec 23 for a week where we will visit my mom (she is staying there in a beach side hotel for 3 months). Then head home before school starts again.

I think we should stick to I-75 route since my husband and I have a hard time even managing the one way streets in Peterborough.

Any advise/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Whoa...21 years - you and your family are in for a really nice treat. So much has changed and been added. In Dec. I would definetley stick to I-75 in case of bad weather.

We got our mouse ears across the way from Mickey's Philharmagic (sp?). The only youth/adult styles were black Mickey ears, they did not offer the little Minnie bows either (we got a set in DLR last Oct). The pink ones were in children and infant sizes. I think we paid around $13 for 2 pairs (monograms included-I was surprised that they would only do proper names-no nicknames).

The kids safari Micky hats were on sale at AK the last time I was there. They were soft beige bucket hats with the ears and a tail sticking out (they also had them for Tigger and Pooh). They sold the straw Mickey hats too.

The Chapeau will monogram the mickey hats and peter pan hats for free, but the wouldn't monogram any other hats. I bought a pink Mickey hat there but the yellow monogram didn't really show up. There's a store at downtown disney that might monogram different types of hats (they seem to be able to monogram lots of stuff there). You can choose the thread colour and font.
