Money Saving Tips

Jade Darkstar

We stayed at DLH last year and if you stay at the DLR hotels you can have EE to the BAB store. We arranged it with Vacation Planning, they told us to meet at the front door of BAB in DTD. The employee let us in at 9am (they open to the public at 10am). There is no cost to do Build a Bear.
I'm not completely sure about the cost of each animal but I remember it being about $15-$20 depending on which one you choose. You can choose a "sound" to put inside of your animal, it's optional but I think they range from $5-$10). My 5yr old chose a doggie and a doggie bark sound, my 3 yr old chose Mickey and a record it yourself sound mechanism.
I sang the theme from Mickey Mouse Club on it for him.
Then you choose the heart and give it a kiss before the employee puts it inside.
The kids get to press the foot pedal which blows the stuffing into the animal.

Once the employee sews up the animal you take it to the fluff station and blowdry and brush it.

Then you go to the computer station and make a birth certificate for your animal.

Now for the expensive part...choosing different outfits and accessories for your animal. My 3 yr old chose a "Woody" outfit for his Mickey, along with sneakers and a pair of roller skates. Probably came to about $40.

My 5 yr old didn't want clothes for his dog but he did want a fold up dog house ($20) and sneakers and skates.

If they weren't using their money I would have said no to the clothes accessories.

We will probably do it again next time, just on a smaller scale. We're staying offsite this year so we won't be able to do EE.:sad1:
The EE to BAB is great to do on your last day of check out..something to look forward when you have to sadly go home.

cool ty, do they have disney charcters?? like grumpy or any of the other disney charcters..

They only had a few Disney character plush animals to choose from, I remember seeing Mickey and Pooh Bear, the other one might have been Minnie.

But they had a lot of different Disney character outfits to choose from.
I was didappointed in the plush animal choices, I thought with it being DL they should have had more Disney characters to choose from.

This was last September, so maybe they have added more characters since then?
I was really hoping for a Goofy or Donald(my son's favorites).
I was trying to push Pooh Bear on my 5 yr old, he wasn't having it.:sad1:

hehe im planing on getting christmas gift there. I wanted to get goffy too but hay what ever they ahve
