Hey everyone

Just a quicky, we're sitting here counting our cash for our trip and we've got a little bit of a panic on. It's probably totaly over the top but it's not a full day without at least one panic. Anyway, it's myself and my DGF, we're going for 14 days and we're planning on taking about £1000 each. As long as we don't go too crazy and I don't let her loose near a pin trading station with the money, do you think that'll be enough to cover us? I know it's all a bit subjective but opinions would be more than welcome.

Cheers

That's tons of money! No worries at all!

Just to add, I'm assuming that's STG as I see the pound sign - even if it's dollars I think you're safe (assuming too that accommodation is paid for of course) but if it's STG then you're gonna have a great time. :woohoo:

For DH and I we usually take between $120 and $150 per day (£1000 - £1250 total) and it usually covers most of our daily expenses and then we use the credit card for our shopping. So yes £2000 altogether would be good :)
Do you have park tickets already purchased as that could eat into the money if you buy out there.

Claire ;)

Tickets are all bought and paid for and we've got some extra hidden away for stuff like Cirque Du Soleil so it's just for our day to day shopping/eating.

My mum took £1500 for her, me and my sister last year. Me and Heather took our own spends and me and mum took our credit cards for shopping or emergencies. We figured we'd rather have the cash and TCs we needed rather than a big surplus that we'd lose money on exchanging back at home. We were fine on this amount. I think next time for me and my bf we'll have DDP for the second week so all we really need cash for is tips, food and drink in the first week. £1000 will probably be our limit as far as cash and TCs go, anything else can go on the credit cards (we don't intend to go too mad, i've done enough shopping on my last 2 trips to last a lifetime!)

We take £1500 with us for 18 days and that does me and my DH fine :cool1:

We limit ourselves to one treat a day (normally a handfull of pins) for the first week and then splash out on the last week or so. We felt this worked well last time we went. We eat cheaply as we only had about 2 sit down meals , we much prefer to have a big breakfast at the hotel (ASMo) and then have a burger/hotdog for dinner and the same for tea (some nights we had the meals that are served at ASMo i.e. mash potato and cravy, pizza and pasta and meat balls...yum yum and not too badly priced)

This worked well for us as we prefer to spend our money on presents...for ourselves! :woohoo:

So basically dont worry you will have plenty of money to spend spend spend! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks for that Lorapinky, sounds like you do things when you're there the same way we want too. We're staying at the All Star Sports so we'll probably be doing the same thing with food as you suggested.

Hi Headzila

As you are staying onsite I suggest you get a refillable mug! they are a bargin. :woohoo:

You buy them for about $13 and you can refil it as many times as you want. You have a choice of coke, diet coke, other fizzy drinks, hot choc, tea and coffee. We filled ours up every morning with breakfast, when we had a break from the parks and on a night. You save loads by just doing that.

Have a fab time :thumbsup2
