We (guidance counselors) go back July 28th. The teachers start back August 4th (for 3 days of inservice) and the students start August 9th. It really does seem WAY early, but it allows us to have a week of Fall Break in October and still get out before Memorial Day. I guess it's not too bad!!

NewEnglandEeyore--we have never tried Spoodles. I have heard nothing but good things about it! DH & I will have to add it to our plan some time!!

Wow! Our teachers start back 8/16 for inservices..but they can get into the schools starting the next week or two to decorate their classrooms and get their class rosters. Our school either send out a form letter to let you know who your teacher will be or they send out a nice little postcard directly from the teacher to the student! Although with one in high school and one in junior high those days are over! We find out who their teacher is once we give them our life savings! Anyway, our kids start back Friday 8/18.. Yes, on a Friday.. don't ask me who decided that was a good idea!
I do know at the high school they are having band camp this week too.. I get the wonderful sounds of the marching band... They are sounding pretty good this year!!
