Monday Jan 5 and horrible crowds!!!!!

Orlando area schools are back in session

Kissimmee area schools are back in session. Maybe not all of them if districts are different but my sister is a teacher at one and was back in school today with the kiddos!!

Most colleges/universities are still on break. Foreign countries such as the UK and South America also have extended holiday breaks. We've noticed tons of each the three times we've visited WDW the week following New Years day.

Not all Orlando kids; my parents and sister live in Orlando, and their neighborhood goes back Wednesday. We live in Tampa area and mine go back to school tomorrow.

Orange County went back today. Are they in private school?

Just finished our day at Epcot. Middling to light crowds. Soarin was 10 or 15 minute wait a few odd times. Good day.

Today was the first day for Stay Play Dine. A lot of guests took advantage of that offer. Many west coast schools are out until the 12th.

We just got back from Epcot and it seemed quite reasonable, especially before eleven or so. Only Soarin and Test Track had significant waits most of the day. I'm hoping that if I keep following Easy WDW's advice for best parks for the rest of the week we'll avoid the crazy crowds.

Palm Beach County schools go back tomorrow as well.
