Ariel Congrats on the boy!

We had an unsual Easter. We moved my DSis out of her house. She has terminal cancer and her lease is up at the end of the month. It had the potential to be really bad, but due to fantastic friends (of my DSis) it went really easy. I had a nice day on Saturday because no one wanted to me get hurt in my "condition" I was put in charge of helping my Dsis as her nurse maid so I got to spend hours with her. It was nice - she lives about 10 hours from me so it may be the last time I get that with her :sad1:

Oh Rose. . . what a bittersweet moment for you and your sister. I was meaning to emai you to see how she was doing. I am sure she appreciated that time with you. I am so glad that you both were given that time.

My prayers are with you:goodvibes

Thanks E. Bittersweet is a great word to use.

I am anxiously waiting to hear your news from the amnio. Keeping my fingers crossed. :thumbsup2

OMG that's great news! Congratulations Renee! Let's hear it for the BLUE team!!!!

Thank you!!

Thank you, also!! I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I am glad the move went well and you got to spend so much time with her, though. I'll keep you and your sister in my thoughts.

Ariel: Congratulations for team Blue!

Snow: I am so sorry to hear about your sister, I am glad you got the opportunity to spend some good time with her.

E: I know what you mean about being paranoid about US! We have so much pink stuff now that I am terrified of Charlie coming out with a winky.

AKL: Oooh, painting sounds fun. We will be painting this upcoming week as well.

Today was my 33 week appointment. Start weight was 157 and today I am 165. :thumbsup2 Only 8 pounds so far! I am really hoping to be able to lose some of the Grad school weight after the pregnancy. I had gotten chunky before getting preggo and needed to lose weight. So not gaining too much gives me hope. Charlie is also happily flipped head down, so I am happy about that! I was convinced she was still head up judging by where I was always feeling kicks.

The only issue I have been having is dizzyness. This morning I woke up super dizzy and even ended up stumbling into the wall. I felt dizzy for over an hour. I have has short spells before but nothing that was so bad I couldn't walk. :headache: The doc said my blood pressure is running a low, and that probably contributed. She also said that after my glucose challenge last month, my glucose actually came back LOW after drinking the glucola. So she recommended keeping water and some of my dried fruit by the bed to have before trying to walk around too much.

We had our family baby shower this weekend and it was a lot of fun. Almost everyone stuck to the registry which is nice. We have an informal shower this weekend just for our local friends. We are also going to be starting to finish up the nursery. We got some coupons to BRU and will be ticking off some of the bigger items that we need before the big day. After the baby shower DH and I looked at each other and had that sort of 'smack in the face' moment where we realized how soon she will be here and how much we need. :scared1: I am starting to get somewhat nervous/frightened of having an actual infant. Labor doesn't scare me at all..... but bringing home a newborn seems terrifying.

Today we did a costco run to fill up our new freezer which had arrived last week. I am going to be bulk cooking so that we wont have to cook for the first several weeks after Charlie is born. I will also keep items for our lunches at work. Recipes to be done this week include: Crab cakes, chicken chimichangas, Chicken Lasagna, Salmon nuggets, Lentil soup. Next week I will add in: Split pea soup, Polenta, Falafels, Stuffed Shells, & Spanakopita. We also got various roasts, whole chickens, fish, chops, and tenderloins in there. I am set! :woohoo: Cooking is the one domestic thing I am good at and I am determined to keep that freezer stocked.

That is my life! Picked up more overtime next Tuesday. Best of luck to everyone here!

Jeeeze woman! God Bless! You are a rock star! I love the idea of the frozen meals. I'm going to plan on that as well! Glad the showers were fun and hope that the next one is just as much fun! Gotta love it right? On the dizzyness I totally understand the low blood sugar aspect. That can totally send your system out of wack in the am. You may also want to consider getting some glucose tabs and putting them next to your bed as well. They digest and the sugar enters your system faster. :goodvibes

Just called the DR's office and our results are still not in. The RN said it sometimes takes 3 weeks, but she thought we would have them tomorrow. She said if I didn't hear back from them by tomorrow to call them after 3PM. I've been pretty good up til now and now I'm just. . . well just anxious. :upsidedow Oh well, it's in God's hands so now all we do is wait. Easier said than done. . . but no other choice right?

Hi Girls! Results are in and all our chromosomes are in order! :cool1::banana: I am so happy and so relieved! :goodvibes
Thanks so much for dealing with me!

Oh and it's official! We are on the BLUE team!!!!

Hi all, just checking in to see how you all are doing. Congrats on all of the good news recently - boys, girls, healthy babies, stocked freezers, etc!

Me and Baby John have had some ups and downs over the last 4 weeks. Everything went beautifully for the first 2 weeks. he gained tons of weight for his 2 week appt, and I was feeling great. Then the 3rd week hit. My older 4 kids were home for spring break, and it was the first week that I didn't have my mom here to help. My oh my am I still spinning from the experience. Trying to keep baby nursed and keep the others busy , fed, and where they needed to be almost killed me. (had lots of dentist, doctor appts scheduled for spring break, and they also still had sports practices) I noticed that I was having more trouble keeping baby fed and happy, and worried a little about him, but he seemed to be having plenty of wet and dirty diapers, so I thought I would wait until this week to have his weight checked when the kids were back in school. Well, then I got mastitis, which I pray none of you ever experience. I was sick as a dog and it knocked me flat on my back for 2 days until the antibiotics started to work their magic. (BTW - Thanks be to God in Heaven for antibiotics - I truly think I would have died with out them.) So my milk supply diminished to almost nothing between the busy week of running and the mastitis making it so hard to nurse that I was supplementing with formula. Again, this is my 5th child and I have nursed my other 4 very successfully with zero problems, and 100% joy. This kid is a pirahana at the breast and is sucking so vigorously I have blisters on both sides. i rather go through labor 2 more times than have to experience the pain of one nursing session with him right now. So I went to the lactation consultant at my pediatricians office and she weighed the baby adn found that since his 2 week visit he had only gained 2oz. (not good). I think he had probably been ok, up until the mastitis and then lost lots of weight. :sad1: So i am supplementing after every nursing with formula and then have to pump 8 times a day to get the milk supply back up. i nurse every 3 hrs. around the clock (3 hrs. from start to start). It takes him at least 15 min. on each side, sometimes longer, plus time to get him latched on correctly and he keeps falling asleep which makes it take longer, so sometimes it's an hour of time. Then I have to change him, make a bottle of formula to supplement him and feed it to him, which takes a while with those slow infant bottle nipples, then put the pump together, pump for 10 min on both sides (I don't have a double pump, so 20 min after every nursing.) and store the milk and wash all the parts and put out to dry for next time. Add in keeping myself fed, this accounts for the other 2 hrs. between feedings and it;s time to nurse again!!!! Literally 24 hrs of non stop work with minutes of sleep at times at night. Which I would be up to if he was my only child to take care of, but the others have homework and all 4 of them need rides to 4 different baseball/ softball practices and / or games tonight. Of course, my DH can help with some of that, but he coaches one of them, so he can't run them all to where they need to be. I haven't even thought or covered the subject of dinner yet.

So sorry for the long whine, but I needed to vent - and I really need some prayer right now. My DH is telling me I'm justto busy to keep the nursing up and get my milk supply back, but I really want to try to get through this rough spot and not lose out on the experience of nursing this last baby of mine. It is so nice and enjoyable when it is going right. So any prayers you all can offer i appreciate - and I pray you all continue to have healthy smoot pregnancies and deliveries.:goodvibes

Tallula: So sorry to hear you are having a rough time. I will definitely keep you in my thoughts. That sounds super rough for you. Hopefully you will be able to keep BFing like you want!

E: Aweee, I was an inspiration! If ya ever want to share your freezer recipes or want any of mine feel free to ask. I have quite a few freezer and slow cooker recipes I plan to make use of after baby.

E---- WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!! COngrats on a great amnio!!!

Tulabelle............HUGS. You certainly have been thru a lot these past weeks. Hopefully your DH will be a bit more supportive on b/f. Have you tried Fenugreek? It is a supplement to help increase milk supply. I used with with success with both boys!!!!

All..............well unless labor happens naturally on it's own, this kid will be coming Friday, May 13th!!!!!!! My mom came over last night and helped FINISH the nursery :yay: SO this baby has a room to come home to (although he/she will be in our room for hte 1st few weeks) and then we went to my appt today, which lasted THREE HOURS...OMG, it took forever. I had my NST, which was ok, baby was moving around so it was hard ot get a good strip. Then I was to have my 36wk check and fluid check, but the OB was SOOOO behind that they told me to go to my appt at the perinatal center then come back. So we went upstairs to the peri and everything looked good. This lil bugger AGAIN would not allow for any pictures, but is at least head down and ready to go! Then we went back down to the OB and they dipped my urine......LOTS of protien....yay...not. So I am the proud owner of a 2nd pee jug (I did one 3 weeks ago) and have to do another 24hr urine. I am a 'fingertip dilated' and 'long' so if by next week I am not dilated more they will have to start the induction the night before with cytotec rather than jsut the pictocin the day of.....so my choices are DTD with DH to see if that helped or say what will be will be and see how I am next week!! LOL! Of course if the 24 hour urine shows a lot of protien this kid may be getting served eviction papers sooner. But at least my bags are packed and we have childcare set up for the other 2!!!!!

Please say a prayer for a friends baby...she is due July 11th but they are taking the baby tomorrow because the baby is no longer growing. She is a young mom but a sweet gal...I just hope everythign goes ok!

talulabelle - Sorry you are having a rough time. Sending you

starann - Good luck girl!

Today I completely threw up my breakfast. I am 20 weeks on Sat. and I am still sick at least 4 mornings a week. I am getting pretty tired of this! I didn't mind it at the beginning, but come on! It's getting old!

Ok, rant over :) You can continue on with your day. Thank you! :)

Ariel: Congratulations for team Blue!

Thank you!! So sorry about the dizzyness.

Great idea on the food. Fortunately for me, my family all lives close, so I am sure they'll be helping out the first few weeks. But I am off for the summer. I wonder of I could do something like that, too. I wonder how long they'd keep in the freezer. I am not due until beginning of Oct and am off in June and July. We do have a chest freezer to use....hmmmm.

Hope you've had a great weekend!

Was it just the normal tests that tell your ratio for DS and Trisonomy? Or more? I had my last b/w taken Wednesday and the doc said she'll have the results Monday. She said if they are abnormal she will call me herself on Monday. If they are normal range, they will just send a letter. She did say all my initial testing looked good (NT scan and 1st b/w) so I feel good.

EDIT: Just realized it was the amnio results...oops...pregnesia, sorry...lol.

Hi Girls! Results are in and all our chromosomes are in order! :cool1::banana: I am so happy and so relieved! :goodvibes
Thanks so much for dealing with me!

That is awesome!! Whoo hoo!! Reason to celebrate!
