E- Good luck with the amnio today! Hope it all goes well.

The past weekend was a bit crazy, I volunteered for overtime on Saturday and it was crazy. I discovered that Saturday surgeries fall into one of 3 categories: 1) ICU patients needed emergency surgery 2) Patients being flown in from smaller hospitals who need emergency surgery 3) Pediatric cases. My saturday was just greeeeaaaatttt. I got a little bit of all 3 categories. I don't mind the pedi cases since they are usually healthy with broken bones or needing an appendix out. However, those other 2 stink.

Sorry about the mostly crappy overtime. Hope you got some rest afterwards!

The pie festival was fun! I ate an unreasonable amount of pie, which completely killed any health benefit of getting out of the house to walk around. My appetite is starting to increase over the past week or so. I had actually had a very decreased appetite the whole pregnancy but now I feel munchy all the time! My two favorite pies were one called Dazzleberry pie and a Caramel Apple pie.

Yummy again on the pie! Dazzleberry sounds amazing! I wish I didn;t have an increased appetite. I've had it for several weeks now. My butt is getting so big! Blech!

This weekend we have the Childbirth class all day saturday. I decided to do the one day crash course instead of going once a week for 6 weeks. DH and I already know we will be cracking jokes the entire time. Not sure what we will do Sunday, but I am sure we can find something. The weekend after this will be my Baby shower! I have become a registry stalker, checking out things as they are bought off the list.

Yah for the childbirth class. I need to call and sign up for that. We'll be doing four classes in July. We also have an introductory to PG one, Pickles and Icecream, on May 2. Yah on baby shower!!

Tomorrow some work is started on the apartment. We are renting now, but this apartment will not cool. So they are coming to re-route some of the AC ducts to help with the problem. It will be a 2 day job. Because the AC runs all day, the bill is out of hand, and it can not cool this place. Hopefully the work should help this problem.

Hope you get the AC repaired and can get cool! Our upper floor gets so hot, I don;t know what we'd do without AC these (or upcoming) days.

Charlotte has still been beating up my entire left side. Being strong as she is now those kicks hurt. I most hate when I get comfy at night and she decides that she is NOT comfy. It becomes a battle of the wills until she finds a nerve to kick. DH finds this hilarious and cheers her on.

Hope all is well with everyone else!

That is so cute about Charlotte! I can't wait to feel all that!

Hi Everyone! Well a very good day at the dr's office yesterday! Bean looked great! We finally got to hear the heartbeat which was incredible!:cool1: The Bean is a mover! Shoot! When the needle went in for the amnio the Bean started reaching for it! I know Bean can't see anything but I'm t'inkin he knew something was in there:lovestruc I didn't have to much cramping and the dr said that he could tell I was used to needles as I didn't flinch;) I was doing well until after dinner when we were watching TV and I felt like I peed myself. Well sure enough some fluid came out. It was clear and the dr had warned me but still un-nervng. I have slight cramping this am and still a little fluid. Anyone know when that is supposed to stop?

So the drumrolll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are having a MASCULINE CHILD!!! HEHEHE Mike is thrilled and so am I! Obviously don't care what we are having as long as the Bean is healthy but it is great to know for planning purposes!:cloud9: I also got the ok to take dulculax for those issues and to be able to do pre-natal yoga. I'm thrilled about that as I really want to get more flexible before the baby is born. The dr is leaning more towards a cecerian but has not ruled out a vag birth. I told him that I had no preference and that my biggest thought was do whatever is best for my son. (That sounds so cool:-)) I think we will take both the labor and delivery classes and the C-Section class to make sure we are all prepared for everything in case it comes to a last minute situation.;)

Next appointment is May 3 for a scan and then the one after that will be the anatomy scan / cardiologist check to make sure all is good with him. We will get the amnio results in a couple of weeks too, so two more weeks to wait on that one, boooooo.

Hope everyone is well!

E

Sorry you had to go through the amnio, but awesome on finding out the sex! Congrats on a boy! I have this suspicion I am having a boy, also, but what do I know...lol. I am definitely gonna be doing some prenatal yoga, also. Apparently Netflix has some on streaming so I'll try that at first. I also have a Prenatal Pilates DVD I will start this afternoon and Summer Sanders Prenatal workout (I did the 1st tri one once and it totally kicked my butt!). They are making us wait forever for our anatomy scan, also (though you already know!) but we are getting that 3d/4d so we should know within 2 weeks!

So glad your appt went well!

A Boy! Yippie! The amnio sounds scarey - I choose not to do one. To much of a scaredy cat.

Well, this has been the crappiest week. So far I have found out that our 13 yo dog has cancer and is getting put to sleep tomorrow. Then last night we hit a deer on our way home and then this afternoon I found out I missed my OB appointment this morning because I had it as tomorrow. :sad2:

The only good thing is that no one was injured (other than the deer) when we hit it and the car is fixable.

The anticipation was terrible and when all was said and done is when I lost it but the actual act wasn't bad at all. He did say that it is different for everyone though. ;) After he pulled the needle out I started to hyperventelate a little but that was more stress induced then anything. i was also praying at the same time. The nurse, Maralyn was great and very helpful:goodvibes

I'm so sorry Rose. That is just aweful! I will say a prayer for you all tomorrow as I know it will not be easy on you. Pleae know that we will be thinking of you:grouphug:

Snow- So sorry to hear about your crummy week. I hope everything goes uphill from here.

E- A little boy! Congrats! I'm so happy for you.

Well, Yesterday we ended up at Typhoon Lagoon for the day. That was DH's idea and it was awesome. We hung out all day in the wave pool and the lazy river. DH was a little worried about me in the wave pool, but I got a good strategy of ducking under the tidal waves.Ducking under them meant I didn't get knocked around and could just swim right under. Though DH always stood in front of me as my body guard. He was afraid of someone running into me, but it never happened. It was very cute having him 'guard the blueberry' in the wave pool. The lazy river was great, I must have napped for an hour in there.

Our AC has been fixed. It seems like it works better but it is hard to tell when we are gone during the day. I'll know for sure how well the AC works this summer.

Our kitty has also been started on anxiety medication to help with his constant meowing and peeing when he is alone. We are hoping this will work for him. He is on a low dose now, but the vet said she anticipates he may need a higher dose. For now though, we are trying the lower dose to see if it helps him. Thankfully kitty will happily eat the pill pockets and does not need to be forcible drugged. Cause really, forcing a pill down his throat might defeat the purpose of anti-anxiety medication.

ETA: My gums have been sore on the right upper side for a while, I went to the dentist for this issue about a month ago but there were no cavities or anything. I just get a sore gum on the right side in the evenings. anyone else have sore gums with pregnancy? Any advice?

That is all for now!

I am so sorry to hear about all of that, especially about your dog. I am tearing up about it right now. I know it isn't much comfort but at least he/she won't be suffering anymore.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I have wait awhile before I get my bloodwork results (as they still have to get more blood for the tests at my appt in 2 weeks) so I don't know if I'll need/have one yet. But it is good to know what to expect.

My kitty meows and cries when we are gone, too. She also pulls out her hair (all the time, not just when we leave). We left her for a few days last week over Spring Break but my parents dropped by every day to check on her. I would've put her at their house, but when we have before, she doesn't eat or leave the back room. When we cam eback from our vacation, she was whining all over the house when she thought we were gone. Poor cat. My vet said we could put her on anxiety meds to stop her pulling her hair out but she had done the same with her cat and her cat just became so lethargic, she ended up taking him off them and now has a hairless, active cat, so we decided to go the same route. Hope your cat has better results.

No sore gums here though the last time I went to the dentist, I got told that pregnancy is doing a number on my mouth. I had to get an electric toothbrush (apparently they remove plaque better), make sure to floss an d rinse every day and I have to go back to her early as opposed to the usual 6 months. Hope you get relief soon!

So tired and just blahhh today. . . I feel like I did last month with absolutely no energy. I kinda felt puky today too. I'm sure the getting up every 2 to 3 hours to pee during the night doesn't help either:upsidedow Anyone else having any lethergy issues?

SD ~ Sorry aobut the gums! That's yuck. I'm going to make an appointment to see the dentist in the next couple of weeks for an early cleaning and to get some bonding done. Once January comes around I'm going to get crowns but because of the bean I don't want to risk a mouth infection or bleach issues right now:upsidedow

Ariel ~ No worries! :goodvibes If you want any more info let me know. Now of course is the waitng on the results. As I said to my parents it seems like I'm always waiting to see if I'm/my Bean is ok ya know? I live appointment to appointment right now. Hey, but ya know, it is all completely worth it to see my boy once a month:love:

Rose ~ Thinking about you today sister. Hope you are ok.

Fingers crossed I won't fall asleep at my desk:rolleyes:

I have definitely been lethargic lately. For me, I think it is the lack of working out. I had been walking the dog (very spotty at best though) and then the last few weeks have been so busy and crazy, I hadn't done anything. Until Wednesday when I did Prenatal Pilates. It kicked my butt but I am definitely gonna keep up with it b/c I am sure it will get easier and make things easier. At least, thats what I think/hope it is. I get winded so easily these days.

BTW, the living appt to appt, thats why I have the at-home doppler. So I can listen to littel bean whenever I want to, whenever I am worried. I usually only do it about once a week but I can do it whenever I want!

Ariel- Our kitty was a zombie the first day or two, he seems a bit better now. He is still meowy at night but not as much. We will see if it helps with his litter habits.

E- I had terrible fatigue early on. Pretty much the only symptom I have had all along has been fatigue. Only thing I have found to help is just going to bed earlier. DH and I try to get out and about a lot, plus I work on my feet so I don't feel too bad. I am able to keep up with life... i just go to bed at 8:30.

So, this weekend was our childbirth class. I found the class more amusing than anything else. DH was slightly traumatized by the videos (which were mainly computer animations) and videos of women going through natural childbirth in obvious pain. Poor guy says he is scared of seeing me hurt.

We had to visualize ourselves inside our womb at one point, talking to the baby. All i could think to say was to ask her to please not hit that nerve that runs down my left leg. I appreciate the kicks, but not the numb leg. Then the teacher told us all that contractions were like beautiful ocean waves sweeping over your body. That during labor, the husbands should remind us that contractions were beautiful and designed to bring us closer to baby. I told my DH if he tried to do that while I am in labor I am likely to start chanting "Kali Ma!!" and rip his heart right out of his chest.

I picked up a bit of overtime this week, though this time in the middle of the week and not on the weekend. Should be more relaxed than my last OT experience. Next weekend is the baby shower! woo hoo! I am excited to see how it goes. I took a picture of the tutu/headband combo I got for Charlie's first photo.

Good luck to all! Tallula, can't wait to see pics!

So cute!! Funny about the childbirth class. I called this week and scheduled ours for July, along with a breastfeeding class in Sept. Hope the kitty does better!

Hi, ladies! Just stopping by to say hello! Like I said above, I called this week and scheduled our birthing classes for July and a breastfeeding class in September. We have our 3d/4d on Saturday (whoo hoo) and I bought my first pack of diapers today! I just plan to buy a pack every other week or so to get stocked up. OK, DH is taking a shower but he'll be down in a minute and we are gonna watch either The Killing or Game of Thrones (we'll record the other). Have a great start to the week!

Yahoo good for you! I think I will start that diaper thing too. Not a bad idea at all;) In June we are going to start clearing out rooms in the house. We need to clean out 2 rooms completely and I'm going to have my DBIL put some things on Craigslist for me too, ie: couch, computer desk, bureau that neither my DSD nor the baby are going to use.;)

Fatigue is still slightly around but much better than last week. (Hope I'm not speaking too soon:-)) Went out this weekend to get bras and of course that never happened so will do next weekend. I have a busy Saturday coming up to get ready for Easter at my DIL's house. My plan is nails, hair, picking up cookies, try to find a compfy Easter outfit that I willl be able to chill in the afternoon with.;) It is going to be abotu 50 degrees on Easter Sunday and I hate being cold so warm and cozy, I can't believe I am sayign that in April, is key. Shoot, woke up to an inch of snow this AM:headache:

Forgot my phone at home today which sucks because I am waiting on the amnio test results. They said 2 weeks though so I'm really hopeing that it is two weeks, weird right? I'm just thinking that if there is something very wrong that they would call earlier right? God I hope so. . .:upsidedow

We are looking at going to WDW for Memorial Day weekend! I'm hoping the boss is in a good mood today so I can request my day off on the Friday, May 27th. He really wasn't on Friday and I need to get his ok before making travel arrangements. Fingers crossed we will be good to go by this afternoon.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Thanks! I still want to have some sort of diaper stock up party, too! Good luck clearing out your rooms. We are pretty well organized b/c we just moved in our house at the end of Dec and haven't had time to start collecting a bunch of junk in the rooms yet! :)

Yeh, I am not nearly as tired as I was. I still take naps if I have time, which is almost every day. Just helps me b/c I usually go to bed around midnight and get up at 5:30. I need to do better but I can't seem to get my butt in gear. Sometimes I do get in there a bit earlier but then I like to read my baby books for a little while.

Yuck on the weather. Today, our high is 85 and its major sunny. Of course, I'm in GA and the pollen is absolutely killing me! I have a slight headache almost all the time b/c of it. We'll do Easter at my aunt & uncle's house but its not dressy or anything.

Forgot my phone at home today which sucks because I am waiting on the amnio test results. They said 2 weeks though so I'm really hopeing that it is two weeks, weird right? I'm just thinking that if there is something very wrong that they would call earlier right? God I hope so. . .:upsidedow

Good luck with the results. We still have one more blood draw (on the 27th) before they will give us our risk factor ratio.

I think I might cry. We were supposed to go June 2 - 7 and had to cancel. I'm not sure if I mentioned all the drama with DH's mom so I won't go into it again unless someone wants to hear the story. I am hoping we still get to go for a long weekend trip to the beach this summer. But that remains to be seen until DH gets a paying job (which looks like it could be within a few weeks or so).

Have a great day!

TMI - I peed while I sneezed last night! Ugh! Its starting already. I heard it never goes back. :(

I have been having problems with that for a month! I had a nasty cough and I ended up wearing a maxi pad due to "leakage". My doctor said it was normal - esp since this is my 3rd child. Not fun.
