Have you all seen this website? It has some pretty good deals so I wanted to share and since we have a few "girl" babies in the mix the clothes are awesome for both moms and girl babies!:goodvibes They are great for little boys too!

So after thinking for the past few months that we are going to find out the sex of the baby, looks like we won't be. When my DSD was cookin my DH's X-wife had an amnio without telling him. She knew what she was having and that all was good with the world but didn't share until after DSD was born that she knew and had the test. Talk about breach of trust! This time around he wants to be surprised and i'm on the fence. To be honest I really want to know but on the other side the most important thing is that our baby is healthy:goodvibes! I'm going to into my usual pre-test fear mode right now so apologies in advance, I know it's annoying!;)

Hope everyone is well! Haven't heard from Talulabelle in a while! Fingers crossed!!!

Hi ladies, I know I don't know most of you anymore since I haven't been around since my baby was born but I still know a couple of you from the TTC thread so I wanted to check up. I'm glad to see that everyone is still doing well! Especially you Esbrick and MamatoSnowWhite. So fantastic!! :goodvibes

A little update here....Alex will be 4 months old on the 17th and goes for his 4 month appointment on the 21st. I hate that he will be getting more shots but I'm looking forward to seeing how he is doing. He's grown SO very much. He's more than doubled his birth weight. Last time I weighed him was about a month ago and he was over 12.5lbs. He's probably 14lbs or something like that now. And he's so "tall" too. I'm going to have to move him into 3-6 month clothing soon.

Hey Everyone! Sorry it's been a while, been a whirlwind around here!

John Kolbe was born March 30th and is healthy and beautiful and I am regaining my strength and doing well too.

March 30th was my due date, and I was scheduled to be induced on March 31st at 5am. I was really feeling sad about having to be induced, because I wanted him to come on his own and I wanted to experience the whole labor and excitement of contractions starting. However, I have had a couple complications in the past that didn't make me or my doctor want to push our luck by letting him go too far past his due date so I did schedule the induction. Well, turns out, he didn't want to be induced either - and I started having contractions that woke me up at about 3:30 am on his due date. I laid awake timing them at about 20 min apart. They were 10 min apart by 4:45 and I woke up DH. We continued to lay there and time them and they stayed 10 min apart, but were getting more noticeable and distinct and were like clockwork. We got up, both showered, got all of the other kids off to school - didn't tell them what was going on because we didn't want them freaking out at school all day wondering what was going on. By the time we got the youngest ones on the school bus at 8:30 - I was heading for the sofa as I was starting to get pretty uncomfortable. I labored at home until 11:00 am when they were 6 min apart and called the Dr. and headed for the hospital. When we got there I was 5 min apart and they were starting to get painful. My plan was to try and go without the epidural - my last baby, I had an epidural when I got to the hospital at 8 cm and it STOPPED labor for hours! I had wished I had just stuck it out for another 15 and had that baby naturally. When I got to the hospital I was 6 cm this time. So I went until 4pm without an epidural but by now my water had broken and the contractions were off the chart painful. I could stand them when they were 5 min apart to get a rest, but these suckers were lasting minutes and I was getting about a 30 second rest in between. I told them to check me because I would have stuck it out if I was 8-9 cm, but they checked me and I was STILL 6cm!!!!!!! That is when I waved the white flag and said "I"LL TAKE MY EPIDURAL NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!" It was incredibly hard at that point to sit still for the epidural. It was the best epidural of my life and I joked that I was going to name the baby after the anesthesiologist. I had immediate relief of pain, but was still able to move my legs and push. So I was so relaxed that the baby descended with in 10 min. I looked at my nurse and said "he is almost out" the doctor was watching this on the monitor from her office and came running in. One long push - he was out! 6 lb, 10 oz 20 inches long.

Toward the end of the labor, my mother had gone to pick up all of my kids at their schools and was back in time to witness the birth. As soon as baby and I were cleaned up all of my kids came in with tears in their eyes and it was just wonderful. Now we are just all enjoying him so much. I haven't uploaded pictures yet, but will post one when I do.

Yahooo! Congratulations! That is great news and thank you so much for the update. So glad you and John Kolbe are doing well and safe:goodvibes Looking foward to those pictures but I'm sure you have tons to do!

All the best!

So back from our whirl wind trip to WDW & DCL! The drive wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it wasn't easy either. The three obsticles that bothered me most was 1. noticing that i have a numbness in my butt which I am sure, given the location, is from my progesterone shots; 2. seat belts! I'm at that weird place where you don't want them over your belly yet my belly is not big enough for the belt to sit underneath it. Mike suggested that we get a couple of butterfly clips to put into our cars so I could adust the belt to fit comfortably; and finally 3. TMI warning! Poohing! Shoot no matter how much salad I eat I just can't seem to get stuff moving. I swear sometimes I'm between 2 and 3 days with out relief. That is uncomfortable to say the least! Of course while away I could't get enough ice cream either! I think it's becuase I'm not a big milk drinker and the bean is craving dairy. It's a good way to get it! Mickey bars and sandwhiches are my friend and didn't challenge my blood sugars to much so that was nice. This week is back to the low glycemic diet so I can be ready for my A1C at the end of the month!

The vacation was great that everyone had a great time and everyone was healthy thank God! It was very busy for me though because organizing 8 people for activities and meals is very trying. At some points I just walked away with Meghan and would hang with her cause she is calming to me that way. Go figure! The 13 year old is a calming influence!:goodvibes Dinner at Narcoosee's was great but the dinners on the Dream were not. I'm pretty sure that if the service had been better the meals would have been. They are still trying to work out some things on the ship but it is beautiful! Next year we are going to look at just going to our home resort for spring break for the week as opposed to the cruise. AND we are going to be either the 4 of us or or the 6 of us if my parents come. They are pretty easy to sit in a pool seat and chill!

Monday is our U/S and Amnio and on Sunday I need to pee in a box all day to measure the protein in my urine to make sure I'm not spilling. Typical Diabetic pregnancy protocol. The anticipation of Monday is killing me and of course we wont have the results of the amnio until Thursday or Friday. Alot of waiting but of course all totaly worth it!:goodvibes

Glad to hear everyone is doing well! Talulabelle u still hanging in there sister?

Glad to hear you had a great trip!! As far as the poohing, I take a fiber supplement every day. I have for several years now and my doc said it was fine to continue it. I pretty much go every day at the same time! Plus I go other times of the day, too, just not as consistantly.

Good luck with the U/S and amnio and the peeing in a box! :)

ES: The trip sounds wonderful! As far as your TMI, I had the same problems early on. I just could not go.... I had to take a suppository at one point I was so backed up. I had tried drinking lots of milk (I have a mild lactose intolerance and it usually runs through me at 1,000 mph.... didn't work!). I eventually ended up taking several stool softeners a day. I think I would take two Dulcolax pills every night and 1 each morning until it went away. I kept that routine for a couple weeks.

Today is my day off! Yippee!! I actually will have a busy week since I picked up an extra shift this weekend. DH has now been hired by Disney and is a CM. That is great, he is a Human Resource guy and wanted to work for Disney. He is currently in the process of going through orientation. Between the two of us working for the 2 largest employers in Orlando we get discounts just about everywhere we go. Not a bad deal.

This past weekend we hit some Farmer's Markets near us. One of which is huge and had about 150 vendors! I also ended up ordering a Tutu/Bow combo from a lady who makes them. I got them in a Green and White combination and plan to use it for Charlie's first photos. The lady who makes the outfits has a friend that is a newborn photographer who lives in our town as well, so that is super convenient!I also let all grandparents know that we will take a set of special pictures for each set of grandparents in an outfit of their choice. The gramma's are all going clothes crazy for this baby, so whichever outfit they like best they can let me know and Charlie will have a professional photo done in that outfit just for that set of grandparents (there are 3 sets). I figure that is something simple to do for each set of grandparents that they will like.

We also ended up with some homemade flavored pastas, some dried fruit I can keep in my pocket at work, and some organic plantain chips. Yummy snacks! I can do some serious damage at a farmers market.

This weekend there is a Pie Festival over in Celebration. DH and I love going to little festivals, so this sounds great. I am also all about some serious taste testing. :thumbsup2 DH is not one for sweets, but I am sure there will some more savory pies for him to have.

Hope everyone else is doing well, Tallula: Hope we see some baby pictures soon!

Congrats to your hubs!! Sounds like you had fun at the Farmer's Market and that Pie Festival sounds heavenly!

SD... Thanks SO MUCH for the info! I already have the "orange drink", so I won't have to wait around! I HATE the blood draw! Needles make me anxious, and I get so lightheaded afterwards (borderline anemic). Oh well!!

I kind of have the same problem. Needles definitely make me anxious - well, all medical procedures do - and I have extremely low blood pressure, so if it drops b/c I am anxious, I get seriously faint.

I usually have to get some anxiety meds before I go through medical procedures, such as my deviated septum surgery and my d&c. I have already talked to the doc about getting something around when its time for labor.

Hi, ladies! I've been MIA as I've been on Spring Break and we were out of town. We went to Louisiana to see DH's extended family. It was a great trip! Not much else to report. Took the doppler to share the hb with family and listened to it twice. 157 bpm both times! Everything seems to be going well. I scheduled a 3d/4d us for my next appt b/c they are making us wait until the appt after that for our anatomy scan and we want to know sooner.

Anyway, I'm sad Spring Break is over and I have to go back to work in the AM. But its only 7 more weeks until Summer Break! Whoo hoo! Have a great Monday, ladies!

We haven't found out any of the times what we were haing beforehand. It drives our fmaiulies CRAZY, but for us, we like the old fashioned surprise. That and at my showers (1, 7 years ago with DS1 and then this one in Feb) we got mainly the stuff we registered for, rather than a closet of clothes that were not size/season appropriate. Also I joke that because I wanted to know SO badly I pushed them out so fast (cody was 16 mins of pushing, Shane 3 pushes!!!).

Waiting for tests is THE worst...I'll be thinking of you!

Hey Everyone! Sorry it's been a while, been a whirlwind around here!

John Kolbe was born March 30th and is healthy and beautiful and I am regaining my strength and doing well too.

Welcome to the World Lil Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT seems like your birth worked out GREAT....I can only hope that all goes so smoothly when my baby comes. Wonder where/who the kids will be with is a HUGE concern for me!

I'm hanging in there! I worked this week and boy, am I WIPED today! I started NST this past week and ended up getting a 24 hour urine done to check for pre-eclampsia. They feel I will end up with it based on my BP and labs, but so far all is looking ok...not great (they say) jsut ok! I'll take that for now!

Hope everyone has a good week!

Hey ladies! Well I'm off in 5 hours for my Dr. appt. Feeling nervous and truely glad I have work to keep me occupied! Anyone had an amnio? I'm usually not worried bout needles as long as I'm giving them to myself, there's always a catch right!;) Nerves always get the best of me:upsidedow

We are starting to see some signs of spring here which is lovely! I hope it continues too as it is nice to look foward to AND Scottish Duffy's post about walking around the Pie festival and farmer's market really got me in the mood to get out and stroll! Can't wait!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi E! Hope your appointment went well and you weren't too nervous! Let us know how it was! Thinking of you!

E- Good luck with the amnio today! Hope it all goes well.

The past weekend was a bit crazy, I volunteered for overtime on Saturday and it was crazy. I discovered that Saturday surgeries fall into one of 3 categories: 1) ICU patients needed emergency surgery 2) Patients being flown in from smaller hospitals who need emergency surgery 3) Pediatric cases. My saturday was just greeeeaaaatttt. I got a little bit of all 3 categories. I don't mind the pedi cases since they are usually healthy with broken bones or needing an appendix out. However, those other 2 stink.

The pie festival was fun! I ate an unreasonable amount of pie, which completely killed any health benefit of getting out of the house to walk around. My appetite is starting to increase over the past week or so. I had actually had a very decreased appetite the whole pregnancy but now I feel munchy all the time! My two favorite pies were one called Dazzleberry pie and a Caramel Apple pie.

This weekend we have the Childbirth class all day saturday. I decided to do the one day crash course instead of going once a week for 6 weeks. DH and I already know we will be cracking jokes the entire time. Not sure what we will do Sunday, but I am sure we can find something. The weekend after this will be my Baby shower! I have become a registry stalker, checking out things as they are bought off the list.

Tomorrow some work is started on the apartment. We are renting now, but this apartment will not cool. So they are coming to re-route some of the AC ducts to help with the problem. It will be a 2 day job. Because the AC runs all day, the bill is out of hand, and it can not cool this place. Hopefully the work should help this problem.

Charlotte has still been beating up my entire left side. Being strong as she is now those kicks hurt. I most hate when I get comfy at night and she decides that she is NOT comfy. It becomes a battle of the wills until she finds a nerve to kick. DH finds this hilarious and cheers her on.

Hope all is well with everyone else!

Hi Everyone! Well a very good day at the dr's office yesterday! Bean looked great! We finally got to hear the heartbeat which was incredible!:cool1: The Bean is a mover! Shoot! When the needle went in for the amnio the Bean started reaching for it! I know Bean can't see anything but I'm t'inkin he knew something was in there:lovestruc I didn't have to much cramping and the dr said that he could tell I was used to needles as I didn't flinch;) I was doing well until after dinner when we were watching TV and I felt like I peed myself. Well sure enough some fluid came out. It was clear and the dr had warned me but still un-nervng. I have slight cramping this am and still a little fluid. Anyone know when that is supposed to stop?

So the drumrolll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are having a MASCULINE CHILD!!! HEHEHE Mike is thrilled and so am I! Obviously don't care what we are having as long as the Bean is healthy but it is great to know for planning purposes!:cloud9: I also got the ok to take dulculax for those issues and to be able to do pre-natal yoga. I'm thrilled about that as I really want to get more flexible before the baby is born. The dr is leaning more towards a cecerian but has not ruled out a vag birth. I told him that I had no preference and that my biggest thought was do whatever is best for my son. (That sounds so cool:-)) I think we will take both the labor and delivery classes and the C-Section class to make sure we are all prepared for everything in case it comes to a last minute situation.;)

Next appointment is May 3 for a scan and then the one after that will be the anatomy scan / cardiologist check to make sure all is good with him. We will get the amnio results in a couple of weeks too, so two more weeks to wait on that one, boooooo.

Hope everyone is well!

E

A BOY!!! :) E, how exciting!!! It really does make shopping and decorating easy! I've bought Ava SO many things on clearance! She is spoiled rotten! Just wait... Now that you know! ;)

Glad your amnio went well and that it wasn't too traumatic! Hope the fluid has since stopped!!! That is scary, but I am sure it is no cause for concern!

MY little one is driving me crazy today, she's been up since 3am thumping around in there! Now, since I am eating, she is excited and keeps tap dancing on my cervix! She wants out!!!
