Moms to Be Part 3

Just wanted to pop in and check in with everyone. I haven't had a chance to write lately, although I have lurked a little. My mom made it in on Monday and Madeline seems so much more content now that she is here. And I made it through last night, which was MAdeline's recital. Those of you who have my DH as a friend on FB-he has the pics and the video up of her recital last night. She was too cute!

Anyway, I have had some weird contractions today-they aren't regular still but they are more painful and more down low rather than across the top of the belly. Plus I think he has dropped some more, so it may only be a matter of days for me.

Welcome to all the new comers that I haven't already welcomed and Congrats Valerie on making it thus far being on bed rest. I would go insane!!

I will be around until this little comes but I may not get to write as much as usual-the computer is in the room that my mom stays in so....

Good luck Gals! And I hope everyone is having a terrific weekend!

:

This 40 year old advanced maternal age Mom is exhausted!!! I need to steal some of my two year olds energy, some times I feel to old for this crap!!!:rotfl: but I would not change it for the world :cloud9:

I completely agree...i am in the same boat...I am 41 years old AMA....with a 16 month old boy and another one due on July 4...I am wiped out! I finally caved and have some help coming in on the weekends for a few hours to give me a chance to nap. I just woke up and will somehow make it through the rest of the day! LOL...20 days to go for me!

Of course then there is a new kind of tired, but at least physically I will get my body back!

Michelle

Valerie, thanks for sharing your pics! We still haven't taken any...hmmm...

Well, I'm off to beautiful (flat and covered in dirt) Lubbock, Texas for the next few days. "See" all you lovely ladies (and gentlemen) when we get back Tuesday night! Have a wonderful start to your week!!!!

Valerie, thanks for posting your pics. It is nice to put a face to a name. You carry off that twin belly well!!!!

Hope everyone is feeling well and having a great weekend.

I got my first good night sleep in a while. I fell right asleep without tossing and turning for two hours and I only got up once to pee!!!!

I guess I should enjoy what sleep I can before Emma arrives. I am getting so excited to see her.

Morning! Officially 27 weeks today - Friday is my next appointment with the midwife; this appointment is is the glucose testing and I think my RH testing. Should be fun...

:teeth: Have a great Sunday everyone!

I had my first sign of swelling yesterday. I had to put my wedding rings away till the baby arrives. I put them on in the morning and when I went to take them off ...oh my, panic was it a struggle. I really can't complain at least I have not seen swelling up untill now. With DS I lived in Crocs because my feet swelled.
----

Similac sent me an awesome sample package in the mail yesterday. It had two cans of formula, and 4/ $5.00 coupons. I was so excited about the $20 worth of coupons. See the small things that make a mom happy!!

I think my ankles were swollen yesterday so that would have been my first sign of swelling as well. I'm pretty sure it was thanks to the horrific heat of south Texas though :headache: I'm hoping the swelling doesn't get too bad...but then again, summer has just started so who knows.

I started swelling in my feet about 3 weeks ago. Nothing major, shoes just a little tighter. My hands started swelling with this heat and humidity. It has been really gross outside. Muggy!

I've got my doctors appointment on Monday. I should leave there with a plan on how Natalie is born. Oh, if I am lucky, she may come this week:cheer2: Then my husband will be a dad on Father's Day.

Have a great Sunday everyone:banana:

DH and I just got home. We went to walk (wobble) around the Wrentham Outlets. It was nice to get out and get some exercise. I told him maybe it will make me go into labor tonight.:rotfl:

MinnieFan4ever, hope your DH gets to be a Dad for Father's Day. Good luck Monday...I don't go again until Thursday.

I got the same package!! :cool1::cool1: I was so excited! The twinnies are on Similac Sensitive RS.... Its so nice nice not to have them spitting up anymore.

We discovered that a radio in his room puts him to sleep. It's amazing. The first few nights we had a few crying spells but ever since we added the radio, he's slept except for when he's hungry.

What do you play for him???

Next weekend is my son's 6th birthday party. A bunch of kids/parents haven't RSVP'd so I have no idea how many kids will show up. It's not so big a deal, as we're having it at a place that does birthday parties & takes care of everything, they have big inflatable stuff for the kids to play on & they get pizza & cake. All we have to do is show up & pay. Here's a website for the place...

Congrats on reaching 28 weeks!! I'm cheering you on!! :cool1: I also hope you are able to enjoy your son's birthday without too many issues!!

My name is Adi (well it is my nickname, but it's what I go by) and I am 26 years old. I graduated law school last year, and will probably be taking the bar again in July at 29 weeks pg  I took it in February shortly after finding out I was pg with morning sickness and all!! One of my essays came back not being graded so I am waiting for them to review that and HOPEFULLY if I did well enough I don't have to take it again.

My DH is 27, will be 28 in July. He taught High School for 4 years (Math one year, and Computer Programming the other three) and is currently teaching computers (A+ certification) at a technical school and hoping for other work.

We were both born and raised in Miami, Florida. Our princess is due to arrive October 16th. We are planning on naming her Isabel. One of the meanings we've found for the name is "God's Promise" and just love it. Plus we both had great grandmothers names Isabel, so it is extra special. I was actual very close to mine :) She lived until 2003 when I was 20.

This is our first baby. I am 22 weeks pregnant.

Okay, I'm really bored and trying to kill time until I have to go to a meeting at work so I'll re-introduce myself as well :teeth:

My name is Veronica and I am 23 years old. I'm pretty sure I'm the only single expectant mother on this thread but luckily, everyone here has been so supportive and welcoming since day one :) I'm 33 weeks PG as of today and that due date is creeping up so quickly it's kind of scary! I'm currently living back at home with my family until I can get back on my feet again and I'm so lucky to have them because they've been a great support system. I plan on going back to school in the spring and would like to get my degree in history. My plan is to teach and try to work in a museum somewhere. I love all things Disney (obviously) and can't wait to take my little boy to WDW in a couple of years  It's unfortunate that my son's dad doesn't want to be a part of his life but I am a firm believer in making the best of your situation no matter what it may be so that's what I am trying to do :thumbsup2 I've met some great ladies here on this thread who have been such a great support and I feel lucky to have befriended all of you! :goodvibes

ETA: Forgot to mention this is my first pregnancy/baby and probably only baby for a VERY long time LOL

Well, if everyone else is going to...

My name is Melessa, I'm a 37 year-old mom of four who found herself unexpectedly expecting a 5th one last Thanksgiving. I'm also 33 weeks along and very excited to meet our bonus girl. Her arrival will make the 4th sister for my poor son who I'm thinking will never get his hoped for brother. I worked until about a week ago as a museum registrar, but I plan to stay home for a couple of years with this baby just like I did her older brothers and sisters. It's been 5 years since my last baby, so a lot of this pregnancy has felt like new territory for me even though I've already done this four times.

Aw, thanks for sharing that! It's nice to know I'm not the only one in that boat. Your due date is creeping up even closer than mine! Thanks for the encouragement though, I appreciate it :goodvibes
