We're getting ready to head back to DC in a bit. My husband may have to work tomorrow, but it should work well as I anticipate less traffic today than tomorrow.

Congrats on Baby Meadow, Chloe!!!

Forgot to put that I got some great deals at Children's Place on Black Friday for Elliott. Everything in the store was an additional 25% off. The tiny baby stuff I was looking at for him were all 40% off to begin with!!

Got this snowsuit:

Just stopping in to say hi again. For some reason I stopped getting emails when there were updates, so I had a few pages to catch up on.

We went to Las Vegas last week, which I found out is actually a lot more walking than Disney! We were staying at The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, which is the farthest south on the strip. So everytime we wanted to go anywhere and not take a cab we had to walk a long ways. I did pretty well, but deflnately noticed that I was 31 weeks and much bigger than when I did Disney at 25 weeks. If I hadn't been pregnant I would have been up for much more walking, as it was we did take a cab a few times.

I also began the joy of swelling. My feet and ankles are definately not what they used to be, my shoes all feel tighter, and I swear my face is a lot rounder. By the end I might have to wear crocs the entire time, if it's like this with 8 weeks to go! Especially when I do a 12 hr work day. So far I can still wear my rings, but I'm keeping a close eye on them. I don't want to have to get them cut off. I had been hopng to avoid this, it's depressing to see.

We still haven't picked a crib, we'll have to get on that. More pressing is I have to make a final decision on which cord blood bank to use, and that needs to be done soon in case of an early delivery. I am debating between Viacord and Cord Blood Registry. I have 3 showers in the next 2 weeks, which should be fun. One for family and friends, one for my work, and one for my husbands work. I hadn't thought I would have a shower, and I ended up with multiple.

Anyone just not feel hungry lately?? About 3 in the afternoon, I am done eating for the day. Nothing is appealing to me later in the afternoon and evening. Plus, I have now thrown up once a morning for the last two weeks or so, after not really being sick my entire pregnancy. At my appointment last week, I had lost two pounds in the last 3 weeks. My mom tells me not to worry, since I was overweight when I got pregnant. When I first found out I was pregnant, I lost like 10 pounds, I have now only gained about 4 of that back. But I figure as long as Elliott is active, and I feel okay for the most part, everything must be going okay. I am ready to be done!!!

Babytigger-Im sorry you've been feeling sick.

Hey Everyone!! I just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing. I haven't been on in a while I've been soo sick I've lost 32lbs and have been in and out of the ER alot. I just took the GD test and failed so I have to do the 3hr one. I'm not looking foward to the test at all. I just feel like I cant catch a break with this pregnancy its my first and I think its going to be my only. Hope everyone is doing great!!

Arubio - Let me tell you how much I sympathize with you. I lost a lot of weight with my 2nd child, but can't even imagine 32lbs. If you're looking for a plus side, just think of how great you will look leaving the hospital with your little boy! ;) I'm sure that is of little consolation right now, but when the time comes it will seem like a perk.

And though with this baby I have gained nearly what you have lost, I have been miserably sick the entire time as well, so I know how much that sucks and it has totally made me say this is the last baby too. In my case the horrible vomiting and nausea went away sooner than I expected about 16 weeks, but I have felt mildly ill daily since then. It's been worse than normal lately and I actually haven't gained any weight over the past couple of weeks. I am guessing that for me it is from the weekly progesterone shots, but I am pretty sure I would have to take those again if I had another baby, and I just don't have the desire to be sick for 9 months again.

But the good news for you is that each pregnancy can be very different, so if you do have another kid down the line, it might be a wonderful experience.

Tigger - I am with you on not being that hungry. I think sometimes I am hungry, but nearly everything makes me feel pretty ill so I just end up not eating. It's a recent thing, the not eating, probably past 2 weeks. Before that I was eating a lot, despite feeling ill. I think at this point though, the baby is so big that not only does food mean I'll feel nauseous, but then also cause terrible heartburn, so it totally turns me off of most foods.

BTW, very cute outfits you got at Carters! I was in there store recently looking for some duck print stuff but didn't buy anything yet. I need to inventory my girl stuff before I start blowing money.

Not to be outdone with the complaints ;) , tonight I have a headache, feel sick again (though that's nothing new), am exhausted, and my husband won't be back till Thursday night. Now I realize that isn't so long, but I have a million things to do this week, had the kids home all day yesterday (why the school was closed is totally beyond me), have a class dinner thing for my son's class Thursday night, my mom arrives Friday afternoon (and my husband is gone yet again Friday), then kids have a birthday party Saturday morning, before I leave for Arizona. We get back at midnight on Tuesday, then I have to chaperone a field trip in my daughter's class on Wednesday. Normally none of this would bug me, but I am just so chronically tired right now that I have no energy for anything. I do remember exhaustion with my 1st kid, but I feel like it came on later than 30 weeks, and with 2 other kids I really need to be awake and functioning. I feel like I have no time between now and Christmas, and after that I fear this baby could come and I will not be prepared.

But that's enough of my griping. Time to pick out some sort of cute outfit for my kids school photos tomorrow. They missed the initial ones in October so these are coming right after the Christmas portraits we did on Friday. Had I not already paid for them, I'd be skipping it, but guess that is not an option now.

ETA: I forgot my biggest complaint of the day. I have no idea what to name this baby and likely only 7 weeks to decide on one. I was so set on Tierney and I still really like it, but only because my husband wasn't thrilled with it did I buy a book, thinking maybe I'd find something I liked better that he also really liked. Well that, of course, didn't happen. So I made a list and had him go through it, which was a battle in and of itself as the thrill of naming a kid simply is not there for #3 for him like it was the 1st time around. Anyway, there are basically 2 names he liked from my list, Tierney and Scarlett. Problem is that now I like them both equally since I spent so much time convincing myself that the name didn't *have* to be Tierney. My husband said either is fine and it's up to me, which is just great as I am not having an easy time deciding.

Hey, you can't blame me, I posted last! I think I am finally ready to leave my kids tomorrow, in terms of having the house stocked with food, instructions written down, etc. Hopefully it goes smoothly, which is always a guess with my mom as she doesn't handle more than 1 kid well, particularly my son.

Tigger - I saw your post on the New Mom thread about slings and I wanted to say that with my son I had a pouch sling I loved. I got it online and the company was Urban Baby, but it appears they are no longer in business. I think I'm getting a 'hotsling' for this one since they are pretty identical. And I would like to try a Moby Wrap as I love the idea of the versatility, but we'll see. We also have a Bjorn that my daughter preferred so that's the backup.

I am going to need some sort of sling for Elliott. He is due right at the start of wrestling tournament season for DS (DS was worried he wasn't going to be able to do tournaments, because of the new baby, so we told him that he could count on being able to do them). They are all day (either Saturday or Sunday) affairs. I will be able to have the stroller, but I figured something else would be helpfull as well. There are just so many different kinds! I don't know where to start!

Hey Guys ... Can I join on the complaint train? I just feel wiped this time. I am starting to question if I am starting to battle depression again. I will talk to my dr. about it on the 21st but since I have dealth with it on two seperate occassions in the past, I am pretty sure that's what's going on.

I have not been gaining weight this time either. My doc said that I probably would by my next appointment but I am doubting it. I am starting the same weight as I did with DS and gained a total of 35lbs with him. I'd be happy not gaining but whatever ... the baby is growing fine so that's what matters. I started about 35lbs overweight from the higher end of my ideal weight.

I am looking into slings too ... I really would like to wear this baby more than DS, hopefully he will be a little smaller than DS was. DS weighed 14lbs by 4 weeks.

DMickey, I haven't gained any weight at all this pregnancy. I figured if I gave birth today, and lost 15 pounds doing it, I would weigh 22 pounds less than when I found out I was pregnant. I figure as long as I feel okay, and Elliott keeps swimming around (which he does like CRAZY!), I am okay.

I am very jealous ladies, as I have gained a ridiculous amount of weight, and have another, what, 6-7 weeks to go? 31lbs I believe. I know it's not really a crazy amount, but I only gained, I think, 34lbs with my son and I still have another 5 weeks to get to that point. The sad thing is, like I said a few days ago, I haven't even been eating much lately and didn't really gain anything the past 2 weeks. Now, if that continues, great, but if not then I'll be annoyed. I know I shouldn't be, but the thing is that I made a point to lose weight before conceiving this child as the weight just kept stacking with each kid. So I lost just over 20lbs and it was a lot of work. I know the more I gain now, unnecessarily, the harder it will be to lose again.

DMickey - Wow, Alex was a big guy! How much did he weigh at birth? Henry was a chubby baby too, but didn't start really plumping up till he was about 6 weeks old. By 6 months old he was 19lbs. But then at 1yo, he was only 20lbs, so clearly he slowed down! Now he's still pretty tiny, 30 lbs, 39 in, in size 2T stuff (mostly), and he's 3 years, 4 months!

And I am really sorry to hear that you think you might be depressed. I saw my friend go through that with her 2nd pregnancy, and then postpartum, and it was so hard on her. Your husband works from home, right? Is that helping any to have someone around?

Henry and I are watching Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas so I'm going to put this down and hope that if I snuggle with him he'll nap. What a miracle that would be.

Justthat - I hope you get your nap with Henry!! :-) I don't think Alex is sleeping much at night because he is ready for his nap by 12noon lately. I am not sure what's going on but taking advantage of it! I think our bodies gain what they need no matter what we do! I am sure that once you have the baby you will get back down to where you need to be ...

Alexander was 8lbs 13oz and 22inches when he was born. He is 2 years and 7.5 months now and weighs about 38lbs (he has been losing a little lately actually, he was up closer to 40lbs) and he is 40inches. He wears a 4T shirt comfortably and 3T pants. He has a long torso and short legs! His feet are 9.5-10 wide!! He finally slowed down at about 2 years old and is growing a bit slower now. Last Christmas he was in 2/3T shirts and 2/3T pants. A few of the bigger things from last year are on the small side but useable this year. I am psyched to have another boy to use all these clothes because I went through a bit of a Gymboree phase at Christmas 2007 and Christmas 2008 when we only came to the cold weather for two weeks. Needless to say those clothes are pratically brand new!!

I think I am going to call the doctor and ask about depresson and if I can get an appointment before my OB on the 21st. Should I call my OB or just find a psychiatrist? Since we just moved I don't have one even though I have been in the past.

I had an appointment yesterday for the big ultrasound...It's a BOY!! We're very excited. DH very much wanted a boy, I just wanted healthy, so we're both happy. They didn't get a clear view of his face, so we get to do it again on the 31st! He does have a nose bone, so no Down's. Now we can really start looking at nursery decor and other fun stuff!

Our crib and glider have arrived and both seem great! We can't wait to move the little guy into his room!

Congrats on the little boy Aurora! The biggest perk I have noticed about having a son is they absolutely love their mommies.

DMickey - I would probably ask your OB, only because you are pregnant and it could definitely be related to that. Though a psychiatrist would obviously be appropriate as well and it might be nice to start a relationship with one so you have one down the line should you need one postpartum.

I was thrilled this baby is a girl for the same reason of reusing clothes. My daughter is February so the timing should work well, as opposed to my August born son. I would have needed all new boy stuff, but practically nothing new girl wise.

My kids weren't much smaller than Alex, 8lbs 4 oz, but Madison was quite the slow grower. She's tall now, 47in at 5.75yo, but Henry not so much. He wears the same shoe size as Alex, 10W.

My kids are harassing our cats and my mom is flipping out so I should go.

Sigh... I'm totally with you on this one. I feel like I have gained a ton and I feel huge but I know that it's not really a lot (only about 20 lbs) but it's so weird to see your body going through changes. My tummy itself isn't very big and people look at me strangely when I tell them how far along I am. Anyone else have that? Small belly for the time that you are at? My mom says to be thankful now and that I will get bigger in the next couple months.

On the upside the nursery is coming together!!! We picked up the crib and dresser last weekend and we put together the changing table and glider and ottoman! Now I need to put stuff on the walls. So exciting!

WDW Aurora: Congrats on the boy!!!! It's fun to start buying stuff once you know what you are having!! :goodvibes

Hey everyone!
Long time since I posted. I can't believe we're looking at only 7 weeks to go!! The nursery is almost ready (crib should be here this week), and I think we have enough 0-3 months clothes for THREE kids!
I thought I was gaining just enough weight (even though I feel like a huge buffalo!), then I saw pics of myself from my shower. :scared1: I can't believe how huge I am!! I really hope these lbs come off pretty easily. I still walk most mornings along with a yoga dvd once or twice a week. It's the sweets that keep calling my name!!! Gotta get some self control back!

Yeah Aurora ... CONGRATS!! I was dying for a baby girl this time and honestly am still a bit disappointed but my DS is the BEST!! I can't imagine having a girl instead of him. You will LOVE having a baby boy ...

What glider are you guys getting? I was thinking about getting the one on black friday at BRU but in the reviews of that model many people said it was a little narrow in the arms. My DH is a big guy and I wanted it to be comfortable for him too so I passed. I don't want to spend a TON but I don't want to get something too cheap either.
