Just FYI, I am from Tennessee if you want to add that to your list...so maybe they were looking for a Southern redneck like me to bring down the IQ of the panel.

So, the minutes and hours and seconds seem to be moving like molasses! This has been the longest week in my life!!!! I am DYING to know who makes it to round three. This waiting is KILLING ME!!!!! So, when do you think they will let everyone know if they made it to round three? Today? Tomorrow? Friday? I mean they will need time to confirm all of the phone interviews. You know, the first day for phone interviews is only 5 days away!!!!! So what do you all think? When will the second round of waiting be over?

Not sure...BUT I think they are playing with us. This morning I got an email from Disney insider...now I just got one for Disney Movie Rewards. I get excited when I see an email from Disney now! I'm assuming we will know by the end of the week. I'm not expecting to advance but if I do, holy cow! Continued luck, everyone!!

Well, I have myself convinced that they have to let us know by Friday because I would need to take a half day off from work if I needed to be phone interviewed the following week. So, I say Friday! Then why did I rush home from work to check my email today? I don't know! I'm just anxious!

I have not heard anything yet for next round...needs to happen soon though, or they may have a riot on their hands

No...I am going to just hang out and when it comes it comes...not a lot I can do about it now but plan my trip in January. BTW...anyone going right after New Years? Lots of schools are still out, and the best news is our babysitter says she wants to go, so the wife and I get to go out a night or two...

I bet you are right. Also...didn't they say we would hear from a specific person this time, as we need to respond to schedule an interview? That would probably mean if we see a person from Disney e-mailed us we are in, if it is from the general panel then we get some lovely parting gifts...like a year's supply of Turtle Wax.

We are heading down Dec 8-16 so if you make it on the panel I'll have to arrange a photo or autograph for her! I'm one of those who never got a response at all. Oh well! Hello everyone. I am one of those sad few that got rejected from the very beginning and that is ok. I can live with it. Recently, those who made it onto round 2 said they were having a hard time keeping their answers at 100 words and how in the first round they got cut off. Well my question is, in round 1, did anyone have a difficult time even getting their answers to 100 words. I wrote my three essays and spent a long time trying to make them just right(which is hard when you have been there more times than you can count, literally as a child, single person dating, married pregant and now as a parent-many times, side note: my brother also used to work there back in the 90's so I know some extra fun facts). When I submitted them they kept saying I was over by 20 words on one, 30 on another and maybe 10 on the last question. How can that be when it cut you off and was keeping count. In the end my answers ended up being way under on words and I had to cut out a lot which like I said was difficult. It compromised my writing ability as well as trying to tell my experiences. I did contact Disney with my concerns and they just gave me a generic answer saying that their system keeps track and they basically couldn't help me. Like I said, I am ok with the decision but I was just wondering if this happened to anyone else?

Good Luck to all of you who did make it and I can't wait to check out the real Mom's (and "Dad's") Panel in January. Hopefully we'll see one of you there!

Yeah, I wrote my answers first on Word and then cut and paisted them into the form - I was over every time. If I was guessing, I'd say they were looking for some "key words" in the thousands of responses they were harvesting. Just a guess.

BTW - I'm going with the "over" RatBoy. I'm guessing before 5pm eastern tomorrow.
