Mom's At It Again! ***Updated 4/30/2009~Trip Report Link**

I agree! I so wish I could fall asleep like that. I can't imagine my boys ever doing that (except when they're little or it's nighttime - Connor fell asleep a couple of nights on the way home last trip).

LOL! Those are great! My mom has a picture of my sister sleeping standing up on the bus on one of our trips!

OH, to have that ability. What great pictures!! You are such a proud mama.

I think he might get it from me as I tend to be able to fall asleep pretty much anywhere! ;)

He just goes till his body just can't go no more! Then he's out! LOL! Maybe he wouldn't be so exhausted if his mommy didn't want to do EVERYTHING in one Disney trip! And believe me we tried....came close too!:goodvibes

There is no doubt in my mind that if he had to be standing up, he could do the same! LOL! Silly kid! :rotfl:

Yay!! Time for an UPDATE! :cheer2: :cheer2:

DH finally sat down with me to finalize our new itinerary. As you know we purchased our plane tickets and need to make a few changes. SO.......

Here is the New and Improved, DH approved Itinerary!

Sunday April 19th--Arrival Day. Arrive in Orlando at 9:50 AM on Southwest Airlines. Take ME to Port Orleans Riverside and check-in. Our room will not be ready so we will check our carry-on bags with bell services and eat lunch and hit the pool. ( I expect to be at POR around noon-ish.) We will spend this day relaxing, settling in, taking the boat to DTD, maybe Disney Quest.

Monday April 20th--Animal Kingdom Day (morning EMH) This will be an early night so we'll probably hit the pool and do some exploring at POR.

Tuesday April 21st--NON-PARK day. We will probably hit the waterpark in the AM till early afternoon, then do more shopping at DTD and exploring at POR. Chill Day! ::yes::

Wednesday April 22nd--Breakfast ADR at Ohana at 7:50, then Magic Kingdom for the day. We will watch Wishes at 9:00.

Thursday April 23rd--Disney Studios Day. Since Fantasmic is a must-see for us, we needed to go on a day when it was scheduled. :goodvibes

Friday April 24th--Epcot Day, evening EMH. Our favorite park so we will spend ALL DAY here! :hyper:

Saturday April 25th--waterpark, Disney Quest, Epcot. Morning and early afternoon possibly at the waterpark and then more Epcot in the evening. Maybe Epcot in AM, then waterpark for few hours, then Epcot again. Not really sure how this day is gonna work.

Sunday April 26th--Magic Kingdom, evening EMH. Spectromagic at 9:00.

Monday April 27th--Open Day. We may go back to Epcot or DHS depending on the boys. We may also do more waterpark and DQ. Definitely a Play-It-By-Ear day! :upsidedow

Tuesday, April 28th--Departure Day. Pack, eat breakfast, maybe a quick swim. Board ME bus to catch 12:45 flight back to NY.....  .

So.....what do you think? This is pretty much set, but can be tweaked if need be! Now I can work on touring plans and restaurant/snack options! :cool1: :cool1: Can't wait to hear your feedback! :coffee:

Your itinerary looks great but I would personally swap Apr. 21 and Apr. 25 - give you the chill out day towards the later part of the week; also will give you the opportunity to buy stuff at World of Disney (if you go shopping) that you may have seen in the parks and would like to bring home with you.

I think it looks good. You've given yourself lots of down time. I do agree with Villainess though. Since you'll have an early evening on the 20th, I personally wouldn't make the next day a quiet day. I like to save my quieter days for when I've had a late evening the night before.

I originally had our "Chill Day" on Thursday, but with the whole Fantasmic thing we had to switch it up. My real motivation to putting the non-park day on Tuesday as opposed to Saturday is the water parks. My DS14 is SO looking forward to them and I don't want to push it off till Saturday. So.....maybe we will just see how it goes. If they want to get up and head to one of the waterparks, then feel like going to Epcot as opposed to chilling out, we can do that. Tuesday and Saturday are really interchangeable. Great advice ladies! Thanks so much! :p

Great itinerary .

I really like to hear other's ideas. We are more of the 8 days, 2 days for each park. This way we don't feel that we have to spend the entire day in one park and we chill when needed. We've never done a "chill day". Maybe I should think about it. We don't do the water parks.

Thanks for giving me something to think about.

Have a good weekend.

We've never done a chill day either!! Last trip we did a park EVERY day and spent very little time at the resort or DTD or anything else. That's the one thing I said I would do differently if we were able to go back. So.....I tried to schedule in some down time. :goodvibes As far as the water parks, this is a first for us as well. My older boys are really looking forward to them!

Thanks for reading! pixiedust:

Not really an update, but a cute story.

I mentioned that my DH is not a planner, but he humors me and plays along. Apparently he listens more than I thought! The other night we were at church for our regular Wednesday night activities. (I am the director of Children's Ministries and we do a children's program on Wednesdays.) Anyway...my DH was talking to the parents of one of the kids who attends. They are going to WDW in February over our February Break. Jeff proceeds to ask the pertinent DIS questions...where are you staying, do you have DDP, etc. Then he goes on to tell them that the pool at POR (where they are staying) will be closed for refurb during their stay! LOL! :rotfl2: He knows when the pool is closed!!!! Too funny! He also told them the quiet pools will be open and they are welcome to walk to POFQ to use the pool there. I was so proud of him!!:goodvibes I just may convert him yet!!:hyper: :hyper:

i'm a bit behind, but...whew...just finished reading your ptr...lots of great info here! can't wait to read more!:flower:

I love this story! I converted my DH about a year ago! He even posts on the DIS, probably more than me sometimes!

You must have had a proud DH moment! And jumping up and down inside - yes, he does listen! Woo Hoo!!!!

You must have been so proud! :rotfl: :thumbsup2

It was a proud moment...right up there with the boys' first haircut and first day of Kindergarten! I think I should have taken a picture so I could scrapbook it!! :rotfl2:

Great Story. Those DHs do pay attention sometimes. :thumbsup2

I won't get used to it, but it was nice!! ::yes::

You know it!! :hyper: :hyper:

I've been debating what to write about next....today I decided I would take a break from doing all the "talking" and let my DS's have a turn. They are each going to write a little about what they loved about WDW on our last trip and what they are most looking forward to on this upcoming trip. Please excuse any spelling and/or grammatical errors! I'm not going to do any editing! Off we go....first up, Isaiah, DS11.

Here's a pic just for reference!

I really loved disney. The employees, the food, even the pools were exotic. Every night i fell asleep on the bus and still had energy to swim in our small pool after. i really liked epcot world showcase. the employees were really cool and i really liked the transportation. :moped: one thing i did i couldnt do anywhere else was have root beer floats for breakfast at the magic kingdom. however my favorite part of the whole trip was animal kingdom. the rides were amazing and the places like the village around expidition everest ( the ride itself was awesome too::yes:: ) one thing im really looking forward too when we go in april is seeing everything we didnt see last time like the swiss robison treehouse. well i gotta go im isaiah and this is disney 3-6-5:wave2:

Next up is Jonah, DS8. Here's his current photo!

Christmas200810.jpg

my favorite thing at Disney was fantasmic. the thing im looking most forward to is Rockin rollercoaster and Expidition Everest. I love Disney so much its not even funny. :goodvibes you should to! well gotta go im Jonah and im awsomeness.

Well that's all for now. DS14 is still at rehearsal at school for the Junior High's performance of Guys and Dolls. I'll get him to post later and maybe I can even get DH to weigh in! :p

cute idea to get the kids involved in your ptr!! your boys are so cute! i'll have to figure out how to post pix...let me go fiddle w/that! :flower:

For those of you who have been following this PTR, you will remember my "freak-out" not too long ago concerning airfare and the timing of my DH's bonus to pay for the trip. Well..airfare was solved as you know! :goodvibes Then DH comes home with this good news....

"bonuses are to be paid out on 3/5"

Woo-Hoo!!:cool1: I could not have timed that better! Our balance is due on.................you guessed it.............March 5th!! I did not count out the 45 days when I booked the trip and when I realized when the balance was due I panicked! But all in vain....it worked out, just by the skin of my teeth. :scared:

Hopefully there will be no more cause for any more freaking out before the trip! **Fingers crossed** :)
