Mommy and Daughter Disneyland Trip (8/19 completed!)

When we headed back to the room I pulled Maddie out of the stroller. She was sound asleep.

I took the opportunity to get things packed and ready to go. I would be checking us tomorrow morning before we headed to Disneyland. I had some difficulties packing...but eventually everything fit.

I showered and fell asleep at 1am. I was so pooped, but happy that all the packing was done.

We woke up early and got ready for our last morning at Disneyland. We rode some FL rides, Dumbo, the Carousel, and Peter Pan. We then headed to Carnation Cafe for some breakfast.

We paid our bill with a GC. When our server brought back our receipt, the card was missing. I thought maybe it fell so I was peering all around the ground. No card. Oh, man! I let my server know that I never got my card back. They searched and searched. The manager eventually came up to me and told me she had to do some calling to issue me a new card. This literally took 40 minutes out of our last morning. I know mistakes happen and they were really nice. But, I wish that they would have let me know that it was going to take awhile. I could've spent some time doing something else. KWIM? Anyways, I got my new card and I was happy.

After breakfast, we headed to the Main Street train station. We rode around to Tomorrowland. We walked around, rode Buzz and hopped back on. We mostly just rode the train and would stop in some shops.

We met up with Beth before we left for home. She gave Maddie a wonderful gift! It was an Ariel purse with activities, treats, lipgloss, etc...I thought it was really nice and was a good thing for her to have for our long wait at LAX for our flight. We said our goodbyes and headed out of the park.

We got our luggage from our hotel and headed to the bus stop. Our bus came and we loaded up and headed to LAX. Our flight was pretty uneventful (thank goodness!!) and we were home!

I loved reading about everything. It was so much fun hanging out with you guys. Maddie is a sweetheart and she really made the Lilo and Stitch breakfast so much more fun for us! Her giggles were contagious and my kids really got into it because of her. So thank you!!

I wish you could have joined us for Fantasmic. We've got to rid her of her fear of fireworks so next time we can watch the show together.

Thanks for taking the time out to meet with us. And while it was fun with the kids, I'm really excited about March! We are going to have a blast!!!!

She has always been fearful of loud noises. We live near a hospital and whenever the LifeFlight goes right over our house she runs into the garage to hide. It's funny and sad at the same time.

We had a blast and I am not sure we would have had as much fun if we had not met up with you guys. Maddie still talks about my "friends that live in Disneyland". Brent and I are debating a trip for late fall 09..but it is talk mode. He also has no idea about this trip in March.

Poor Maddie running to hide from the Life Flight!! I can just picture that, bless her heart! Hopefully it won't last long and if you all do end up taking a trip in '09 she'll be over it and ready to enjoy Fantasmic by then.

Tell her we all say hi and that we wished we lived in Disneyland!

It was fun! I will be honest, having my DH around would have been nice during some meltdowns, but it was good. I plan on doing this again with her when she gets a little older.

Thank you for reading! I must say we have always been VERY blessed with some great experiences at WDW and DL. I cannot complain too much when there is one sour grape in the bunch.
