ok, back to the story.....................
Now I must admit that I've been surprised to read the lack of interest in Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure that seems to run rampant on the DISboards. One look at their website and I was HOOKED!! With countless rides, shows, the Macy's Holiday Parade and............................SEUSS LANDING!!!!! I mean who would not want to experience Seussville!!! Heck, I could probably hang out there all day long just soaking up the whimsical scenery and taking in the magic. To me, Dr. Seuss is an absolute genius and his imagination and creativity is cause for great celebration. My children have heard/read his stories many times over. So, needless to say....................it was Seussville or bust!!!
We make it to the park at about 10:30, follow the magic blue line (that provided us preferred parking), park our van, and proceed to take the looooooong trek to the park entrance. What a walk
And no warning! Just an alert to those who have yet to go.................be prepared.
Here my Nicky Noodle is on one of a series of MANY moving walkways (thank goodness for small favors) with his new friend, a dinosaur, he adopted from the initial GKTW welcome bag:
while waiting for Daddy to secure a stroller, Nick and Olivia pose for pictures:
and then we catch a px of THIS........................perfect isn't it??!!!!:
the boys, as is typical, find some interesting looking vehicles to examine and sit on/in:
I yell at Matty for some silly thing or another right before this picture is taken..............note the boo boo face
but, fortunately he recovers from the trauma of Momma's wrath pretty quickly:
It is much later than I hoped we'd be arriving so we boot it......................as far as I'm concerned, we simply can't get there quickly enough:
and, oh my goodness, it is more wonderful than I had envisioned PLUS it is fully decked out for Christmas! We force the kids to pose for px:
and then find that these little creatures are kind enough to pose for us too
:
Up first.....................the Cat in the Hat ride:
This ride brings the book to life!! Fans will likely enjoy these photos:
Matty is so enthralled with this ride that he insists we go again.......immediately!!!!:
(oops, seems I've used up my single post picture allotment...........be right back!!)
