We go to WDW with my brother and his family, and each time we switch off and take each other's kids so each couple can have one dinner out alone. Last time we went to Kouzzina and I thought it was a very nice choice for a more adult atmosphere.

Trying to decide where to do our dinner out this time. Because we don't have hoppers, I would like to choose a place that is NOT in one of the parks. My other stipulation is that I only want to use 1 TS credit for the meal.

Part of me wants to try Cape May b/c my kids aren't seafood eaters so we would probably never go there with them. But of course, it would be nice to have a sit down meal with DH instead of spending all our time waiting in lines at the buffet. So I would love to hear suggestions for where to go! Thanks!

I've never done a dining plan so I don't know how many points this would count as so this may be no help at all.

DH and I went to Raglan Road in DTD for an adults only dinner about 2 yrs ago and loved it. We're not all 'romantic' any longer and enjoyed the festive publike atmosphere. They also had some Irish singers performing that night so we got dinner and a show!

I've tried replicating the bread dipping Guiness reduction stuff they made that night with NO success. We still speak fondly of it after all this time.

So, for a couple that's not into gazing into each other's eyes and who enjoy a pint and some lovely Irish tunes, I would recommend Raglan Road.

For that "sit-down" feel:
Kona, Captain's Grill, The Wave, Grand Floridian Cafe'
For buffet-style - you can't go wrong with Cape May Cafe' or 1900 Park Fare. :wizard:

I would say Ohana. It has a very romantic feel to it. It's not a guarantee but you can go a little later in the evening and ask for a table with a view of the fireworks (some tables only view the volcano pool and block the MK), since Ohana does have the music piped in. Even without the fireworks, I think it's a lovely atmosphere with a somewhat romantic island feel to it. Not sure if romance is what you're looking for either, but something about getting up to go to the buffet just doesn't go with the nice opportunity for some good conversation ALONE with your spouse. Have a great time whatever you decide.

I gotta say....I come out on the exact opposite side on this one. To me, there is nothing romantic, cozy, adult, sophisticated or intimate about Ohana. I don't want a nice dinner for 2 interrupted by a guy with meat on a skewer asking me if I want more grub. Ohana is loud, family oriented, and often requires a lengthy wait in a crowded area far beyond your ADR time. If a nice dinner as adults is what I was after, I would take the hit and go to a 2 credit restaurant or pay OOP and go to a Swan/Dolphin restaurant. But if you really want to stick to a single credit, I would go to Wave.

SANAA!!!! Beautiful decor, fantastic food, great service and you can't beat the view! It is a great experience! Once you try it once you'll be hooked!!

:) Thanks everyone! After reading the comments and looking at menus and reviews, I've narrowed it down to Sanaa, The Wave or Raglan Road. I'm going to have DH look at the menus and see what appeals to him.
