Rie.. me too I am so sorry schedule was a bit crazy.... but I was in the room from 2:30PM to about 5P or 6P taking afternoon naps... and that is why by the time everybody was all POP'ed out i was just catching my second (hurricane) wind. The nite shift security guard kinda got tired of seeing me after the 4th morning at 3AM And Rome the security guard at the gate.... was just to pleasant to wave everytime I go home.. I bet he is thinking... c'mon now woman.. go home at a decent time hahahahaha

We were almost NEVER in the room during those hours. Even on Saturday when we came back to Pop from Epcot, it was so DD could swim in the pool from 4 to 5pm. We then headed back to the room to get ready for our WCC reservations.

Yes, we booked bounceback, but we'll be staying at ASMo the last week of August. We likely won't get to see any of you guys.

I was smack dad in the middle of FF with Mom2Evie on the other side and the Divine Divas just a hop and skip. Timmie honored us with a few visits as well. Angie's son walked poor "handicapped elderly me" back to my room many nights. I had hoped to be able to visit with more of you poolside but it seems that you were either all wore out or still in the parks when I wandered up most nights.

MV, I am not sure I met you last year but you looked good any old way.

I did not enjoy POP other than the company so I would hie myself back to my Sports. The quality of the food compared to last year was frightening. I ended up turning most all of our TS into CS. Giving a $20 tip for a substandard meal that I might have gotten for less back home just did not appeal. BTW, the tuna sandwich at POP rocked. The steak at Coral Reef was almost worth the tip. The company was priceless. Hi ya Pooch and Katie! We ate at Puck's so often they know my name and what I am going to eat!

The car is unloaded except for Lucy's stuff. It was so scary that I dropped her off and ran toward home. I feel terribly as she is very sick, near pneumonia. She stayed in the room half of the days and I took her on one long day at MK, for her. It rained on us at EPCOT near the end but she was wearing a poncho.

I just cleaned the front yard from the debris. I am not going to think about how much fixing the ONE shingle with cost. House is 3.5 stories high.

Janjandis, it would be simple to take the clothes out of the dryer and reinsert them into the suitcase. Shall I wait curbside? I was doing mental math thinking of how much credit I had available on my cards and how much longer I could stay. Having morals is a pain in the rear.

Are the Diva's home yet? I fear for those who were headed south. It were awful.

Ok here are my thoughts... as per rumor... the week of the bounce back AP might be giving out 40% off room rates for value... I am debating.... get the 40% no dining or stay with the free dining plan rate ??? what do you think miss Linda ??? I dontt hink i want to eat all that food anymore.... I want to go back to one CS a day and my own meal in the room.. I totally miss my old ways of brown rice for breakfast well I have 365 days minus 45 to ponder this...

Ok.. I took a shower... and wash out all POP scent in me skin... scrubs on... pen in my pocket... and coffee at hand... time to go to work...

Sorry for shouting. I cannot get used to typing on a laptop. I do not know the exact dates yet but my bil's and I will be going down after Thanksgiving. I plan on letting them roam on their own, with my agenda, while I wander all alone and not lonely one bit.

Timmie, sounds like everyone was as disenchanted as I with POP. Might have liked it better if our room was not so far in the back tho.

IMO, the reason i did not bounce back is that as low as the crowds were this year I am sure they will be much lower next year and I expect great room rates. Frankly I am better off with a low room rate and having the freedom to eat just when I want and what I want.

I will run a shuttle service for all the AS's when I am there. Ang will testify that I am a good driver although I get lost a lot. Not so much at Sports though.

You are a lovely lady and I think my DS adopted you as his new best buddy. I did too. lol Lucy was a very nice lady as well. My son does not see you as an elderly lady by the way. He just really enjoyed your company because you treated him like an equal and it makes him feel good to be a gentleman too. He gets in enough trouble for not doing his school work so he likes getting praise for doing nice things. Now you wouldn't want to take that from him would you. lol Homework is not his forte but then again it wasn't mine in grade or middle school either. Thank goodness we both have the ability to pass tests with A's without studying. lol

Glad you are home safe. I was at home for a few days before you even got down to Disney. Glad you got to meet some people from the thread at least. How weird that Vix picked you out of a crowd.

Then again we may chose to rent a car to get to Sea World and then it wouldn't matter about the busses because we would just drive. It also depends on who has days that coincide with ours so we are not set on the resort yet. Heck we have over a year so I am in no hurry. Does anyone know if changes need to be made before the bounce back offer is over or can it be done at any time before the 45 days?

Oh yeah, Linda, we were out shopping this weekend and got hungry. DS chose Olive Garden for the never ending pasta bowl he loves. I paid $15 for both of us to eat since we drink water. Sadly I thought about how it was less for both of us to eat there than I paid in some tips at Disney. The food was better than some too. lol

My issues with Pop this time were that they lost our luggage and blamed it on the airline. The next day almost 24 hours later it showed up with no message or apology just a tag that showed it was misdirected to the wrong Disney resort. They also gave away our case of water to another family by accident. The guy tried to say it got damaged but when I asked if any bottles were salvagable he told me the truth about it being missing and probably given to the wrong family. Then the same night they accidentally shut off our cards so that it took a half hour extra at Ohana's for them to call the front desk at Pop and get them to let us use our dining credits without having to pay cash instead.

Then to add insult to injury every morning that they washed the pool deck at 8:30am they put the power washer that sounds like a jet engine 3 feet from our room window. We are not early morning people we are late nighters. It especially didn't make me happy the morning we were up till 3am the day we were leaving and had a long travel day ahead of us. I called and asked them nicely if they could move it. They blamed it on another department but promised to have them move it away from our window. 15 minutes later I called back to tell them it was still blasting away and I was told it was a completely different department but they would take care of it. Another 15 minutes later I asked nicely to speak to a manager who then told me it was a completely different department and he would come out and take care of it personally. I asked him to please come to my room and hear what it sounds like in the room. He never showed up and the thing pounded away for 1 1/2 hours before I gave up and left the room.

Given all our less than magical experiences I feel it is a sign that it is time to try a new resort in a room that is not prefered where they don't need to power wash right outside our door. lol

I can say that when we were at Pop in August our experience was nothing less than wonderful with no problems at all and the best mousekeeper in the world. So I know great stays are possible.

Oh yeah forgot about the couple of 50 minute waits for the busses we had. Thank goodness we were in good company for one of them and the time flew by. Then there were several waits a bit over 30 minutes. The majority were 20 minutes or less however. I just never waited so long for busses there before so it was surprising. I wonder if they were short staffed after the college kids went back to school or something.

I dont have any problem at POP.. love POP and always love that seventies bldg... but I just thought of giving POP a break... but then... everytime I remember 6356 where a diser friend is check in now... I want that room.. so I might switch back to POP... who knows...

I love that location where we were.. that is my fave bldg and view... but if I can get a value rate after discount with a moderate I might even try that and just not do free dining...

Ok... I hope what ever bad omen I have ended last night.... my life for the past 12 days... rocky start for vacation... lost camera at HM Tuesday... fell flat on my face... sprained knee and end up in the ER while on vacation... delayed flight and did not get home till 1Am .. and Last night !!!!!!!!!!! I sat on my cell phone... did not realize as I was texting got up let it rest on ther chair walked away... a code came from downstairs needed access to nearest pc.... phone was pn chair.. sat on it and now in 2 pieces I mean the keys still light up but since the other half is not attached... I cant see or hear anything... no I wonder why.... Sooooooooo I am just waiting for 9AM and I will have to run to verizon.. I called last night and they said the only way I can get a replacement is by mail since they are out of stock for this phone in my area but I am still going to try.... I feel like a part of me is missing..

Rover's eye wasn't working, oh no, poor rover. That poor uncle stuck on the toilet for all eternity.

No more bad luck for you girl. At least it seems my bad streak is over thank goodness. I am getting my tooth fixed today finally so once that is done all will be good. Did I tell you I lost a filling the day before vacation and all the dentists in the area were on a long weekend for Labor day? Good days are headed your way now. I just know it.

just poppoing in to say yes I got home save and sound to all those kind dissers. I got food posioning at Coral Reef a couple of days before I left so I was sick and the trip home with 60mph winds coming into my home town airport wasn't good.

Angie, yep good company in the bus line. It was ME you were referring to and not Pumba huh??? I hear you on being back in the real world and food. I had a Disney questionnaire waiting on me when I returned and I made it clear that while I was willing to pay for quality food and service I was not willing for prepackaged chocolate cake and being told I OWED $5.40 tip for someone who merely brought me a glass of tea and did nothing else. On the way home I tipped someone at 40%. The food was good, the service excellent and she was not making over $100 an hour or so. Since you and I might well be at Sports together next year I will introduce you and Will to the pleasures of off site dining. Orlando Ale House anyone? BTW, you can catch a bus to Sea World from T&T for cheap. I am glad you got your choppers fixed. Wish it had been before DW so you could have enjoyed even more though,

Diva K, have the Divas ever stayed at any other resorts? You youngsters are more able to ignore long walks and such than us 'elderly and handicapped' folks. The story of that title has to do with a bus trip that Ang, Will, Lucy and I took one evening when the bus driver made someone get up to give me a seat by saying that those seats were for the E&H. I took it too. I only do so when I truly need it though and I felt I was saving the entire bus from being hurt with my hurtling body careening throughout.

My doctor wants me to drop by and see her today so I had best get organized and head out for the day. I took pictures of one my leg and will post when I get a chance. Lovely. Not broken though. As I sailed through the air I was determined to not get hurt too badly as I had to drive home. After dropping my camera and then losing my expensive computer chipped car key I did not have the courage to turn the car over to Lucy. Love that gal though. I think she had fun as I did see her tap her foot a time or two and actually heard her laugh bit once. I am afraid that she did not see the delights in Disney that we do.

I had read that you went through those bad winds and I am so glad that you made it home safe and sound. I did leave you some messages just so you know.

I had the Lobster Bisque and Tilipa w/mashed pot. and haven't been able to keep anything down since. Last night I had a few pasta zitis and thats it.
