Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

I wanna be a "Pop Tart". :rotfl:

I start my years session with my CC kids today. Low bookcases and comfy beanbag chairs with a scattering of small stuffed toys. That is for ME, not the kids. :lmao: I have a big bag of MM soaps and such. They love them but I do not think they will enjoy the newer logo as much as the old one. I have magic pencils for them all. If they do their homework, study hard, and write down the right answers these pencils guarantee good grades. I am a silly woman but the kids like silly and I love them.

My oldest grandson was sick while I was gone. My grandkids come and stay with me when they are sick but since I was not here he got sicker and sicker. (that is only MY pov):) I am taking him for a mono test today. I hope he is wrong but he has lost ten pounds in a month and says he is very tired and weak all the time. He just had a case of shingles as well. He does not sleep or eat well.

My youngest grandson had a track meet yesterday. I was not told until after the fact. Seems I am only family when someone needs something and not when there is a family event. (Told ya all that being an in law sucks from this side of the fence as well).

I have the yard cleaned up from the big storm. It was a doozy. Lots of debris. Big town celebration weekend after this so I have loads to do. The good news is that it will give my fancy heart monitor something to monitor.

Has everyone gotten their laundry done and back into their regular routine? Did the families miss you? My husband gave me a standing ovation when I went to pick him up at the bowling alley. When he saw me he clapped his hands. He is a bit childish, okay a bunch childish. I am grateful we have not regressed to the diaper stage, yet. :upsidedow

Hi, Everyone!

Have been MIA - my only excuse is a short (and very strange) trip to the World and then the excitement of my daughter being in labor for the 3 days ::yes:: Oh, and of course the new grandbaby!! :cloud9:

Would LOVE to join you all as a POP Tart and make the trip next year :) Ohh, I'm excited just thinking about the planning and meeting everyone.

BB free dining was not offered while I was there - too early - but will book a room soon - where is everyone staying next year? Anyone back at POP or have "we" moved up?

Well, must catch up so have a lot of reading to do. :) Better go to the new link too...maybe I'll just copy this over there...holding the baby makes it difficult to type!

Linda, thank goodness you are there to care for your grandson. 10 lbs! My gosh, that's a lot for anyone, but esp. a child - of any age. Keep us posted, please?

Timmy, than ::yes::k you for starting a new thread. It will be so much fun to be here from the beginning. :)

Maybe they don't need me!?!?!? :sad1: :sad2: :scared:  :confused3

My grandson is 17, pretty tall and muscular but only weighs about 150 so ten pounds is a whole bunch.

Kristin, hush your mouth! Do not even jest about being willing to be sick to lose weight. You looked pert near perfect to me and being sick is no fun at all! It is better to be missed for you than for your housekeeping abilities. When I walked into the bowling alley to pick up my husband, when he saw me he started clapping his hands. Guess he missed me a bit.

Pooh, thanks. I do not think it an in-law thing as much as just a people thing. Some people are nicer than others and then when you lay down, as I have for decades, people are just going to think you are a doormat.

Minnie &, it is so great to hear from you again! Congratulations on that new grand baby. Pictures??? Have you been able to expand your living arrangements? I held my grands while computing too. Imagine my surprise when the youngest one leaned back and said he wanted to go home and I realized that it was the 'home page' he wanted. They never want to go home. I have a/c. :rotfl:

Timmie, I got a couple of emails but no pictures unless they are on another computer. I have been working back and forth between the desktop and laptop. I will check.

My grandson came in 5th. Not sure how many others but figure quite a few and since he is the youngest and smallest that is a good thing. He is a scholar and a sportsman.

Yes, yeah, grandson!!

Oh my goodness, are we back to the windows again??? Where are those POP TarT volunteers? Don't suppose they are actually working?;)

Hey, I'd love to be working...still no job since I lost mine May 8th :( There must be some sort of plan...ya know, if I had a job would not be home all day to help with and enjoy Sophia. :) Or play around here with you guys. ;) Yes, sounds like a good plan to me!;)

p.s. I'm getting confused between the two threads - when do we offically switch? I think I;ve not posted then see a trillion posts by yours truly....about something else. :rotfl: I am so easily confused these days.:confused3

:thanks:
I was just kidding...I learned many things on our Diva trip...one being to appreciate my health...I may be the largest of the group but I dare to say I am the healthiest...all the other Divas were complaining about some ache, pain, problem (from constipation to insomnia!) all week...

Sounds like my DS...much to his dismay he is more of a scholar than an athlete...unfortunatley he doestn' have much natural talent but what he lacks in talent he makes up for with his brain, even on the field, court, ect...he studies plays, strategies, statistics...other players look to him to find out what to do, where to stand, etc...(haven't tried track...yet...he has played baseball, soccer, basketball and I finally conceded to let him play flag football this year...afraid it will lead to full contact next year :headache: ) We tell him he doesn't have to be the star player...he can be a coach, a commentator, writer, statistician, team doctor even owner of the team!

Ladies, We've almost reached the maximum allowable pages for a thread here on the Dis. Who wants to create the new thread & post the link for us all to use?
What is the limit? What happens when we reach it? Is there a way to merge this thread with the new one? :confused3
