Mojito Monkey Mama's 2 cont'd

Mom2Evie, I met a family from the DIS on my last trip. I did not remember how they looked but knew the t shirts when I saw them. The stick figure family is what I call them. Very nice folks too.

SG/Linda

When we were having breakfast at CP one morning, the woman next to me said, "My daughter thinks I'm crazy for doing this and I hope you know what this means..." then she did the focker watcher fingers pointing thing. I laughed out loud and just said, "You're on the DIS!" Her teenaged daughter looked so relieved that I didn't think her Mom was nuts. We talked for a few minutes about who else we'd met, what the DIS had helped us learn ahead of time, etc. I met so many people just standing in line with my LGMH hanging on my lanyard. It was great... and every last one of them was totally sweet!

CR, I do not remember seeing any pictures of you before but you look as lovely as your name. :)

Just be grateful that you do not look like this. :rotfl2:

SG, nice to finally be able to put a face to a name! :thumbsup2

You gals are the best!!!!

No date because he wants it to be a semi surprise for me when he "acutally" asks me, so I can live with that. Personally I think he will do it around my Brithday only because I was talking about going to disney and he has been putting up a fight about it.

I will take PICTURES I PROMISE!!!!!

Oh my goodness, I finally got ahold of my friend who is a student at Northern Illinois University which is near me. They had some idiot come into one of the classes shooting and injuring 22 people, killing 4 and then killing himself. I wish I knew what is wrong with people that think taking peoples lives like that is ok to do. Anyway, the cell phone lines are all busy so I have been so worried about her. She said she took that class last semester with the same teacher and her friend just dropped the class two days ago. I am so relieved that she is ok but also saddened at the families who lost a loved one. Sorry to bother you guys with this and thanks for reading.

Okay I have to break the news to you all !!!!

Thanks for all the shoulders while I cried and all the prayers and PIXIE DUST cuz it worked apparently!!!;)

Oh he did get me a diamond heart necklace not to large just right.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!!!

Poohbear!! I was holding my breath looking for your latest post!! This sounds like great news. Congrats!!

I just saw the news, that is horrible just so horrible. I am glad that your friend is okay and well.

Our prayers are with everyone !!!

Happy (belated) Valentine's Day folks!!

Sounds if there was a whole lot of heartwarming things ahappening for you all.

Pooh, I could not wait until I was able to see what happened with you. When is your birthday? I am wondering how much longer I have to wait to see. You thought it was all about YOU? :rotfl: I am so happy that you had a nice day yesterday even if it was not exactly what you had hoped for. It was not what you feared either. Good day.

Ants, three dozen roses? You think just like me -funeral like. :rotfl2: I would also mentally figure up the cost and cringe but that is such a nice thought. The fellow certainly seems to have the good sense to know when he has a good gal and that is very promising. :lovestruc

Ang, because of things that have happened in my past life I am always acutely aware of what is going on around me. I am very glad your friend is alright and heartbroken at the lives that were lost and those who will never be the same. We all need to be aware no matter where we are as I fear more of this sort of thing will happen, malls, churches, schools or anywhere the demented can find to get the attention they want. I propose a law that says that when someone does such a thing they are forever after referred to by a number and not a name and that just might stop a few of them from taking others with them. :sad2:

Wic, well, did I look like you had imagined? I so enjoy meeting people I know only on line and since I only hang with the best folks I am seldom disappointed. I look like a fairly normal person (unless you look at my eyes which show a hint of rebellion and orneriness) but my heart beats to a different tune. :cool1:

Mom2Evie, I have recently started wearing my LGM on my everyday purse as it occurred to me that I might be missing some DISers right in my own backyard. Not ALL Diser's know the Focker sign though, only the truly dedicated ones.

My doctor gave me a clean bill of health on the 'shingle' so I am cleared to go back to play with my kids. I was able to go to my grandson's basketball game last night as well. The rest of the medical things will wait until spring and better weather. I am relieved. The other good news is that my cap is now paid in and everything else will be 'free'. I will get my eyes done this year now. I am grateful for having our insurance and while it is not the best it is far from the worst. Going to paint over the bed today. It is a massive bed, very fancy. Best not drip a drop of paint on that baby as the sil has put dibs on it when I croak. :scared1:

Have a great day all!!

Love, Linda Lou

Thank you so much S/G even though I spent my time in the ER from a Migraine again and had to get shots this time and then spent most of the time sleeping the rest of the day. I tried to go to work yesterday and well lest just say I tried to stay awake for the 2 1/2 hours I was there.:rotfl: :rotfl2:

Taking Mike's grandma out for shopping today!! I just love a job that you can shop and get paid at the same time!!

Talk with you all later.

Pooh, I must have missed something cause I did not know that you spent Valentine's Day in the ER. Major bummer. Do you think it was the stress? My son had migraines and while I have lucked out I can feel empathy.

You are so much of Mike's family already all that is left is to make it official. Have fun with Grandma!!

SG/Linda

Hi all,
Dang, I freaked out yesterday. It is so much more intense when tradgedy happens close to home and you don't know where your friend is. I am going to pick my friend up today since the campus is closed down and we are going out for some retail therapy. I just feel so badly for those who lost someone to the tradgedy and for all the kids at that college that have to process the tradgedy and still learn. My DS announced that he no longer wants to go to college there. Sadly, that was a big plan of his that he has had in his head since he was little and we would go through campus to go shopping all the time.

Anway, on to a brighter topic. When is your birthday Pooh? I am so happy for you. I guess pixie dust prayers really do work wonders. Enjoy shopping today. I hope your migrains go away and never return. Do you know what is causing them? Hopefully, it was just the stress of what would happen yesterday and now they will give you a break.

Evie,
I have a funny story about the focker signal from last year. There was another family in the bus line at MK and the lady did the focker signal so I thought she was another diser. I started talking to her like she was to find out it was just a signal she gives to her daughter when she misbehaves. She had no clue what I was talking about. lol It was so funny how confused she got when I tried to explain the signal to her and what it meant on the dis when she didn't have any clue what the dis was. We talked for a long time and once she understood I was not just a confused person she got all excited about joining the group. She was another Disney nut so it worked out good in the end. I wonder if she did end up joining the group.

Hi SG, of course you are not what I pictured.....I don't think anyone ever is...you talk like your this massive old woman - your not even close to being old!!!!!! That's one of the reasons why I love it when I can go out on a business trips and meet my customers face to face! Nothing like putting a face with a voice! :thumbsup2

Pooh, I don't think any of us knew you spent the day yesterday in the ER....I hope you're feeling better today! Wonder if you physc'd yourself out so much about what Mike would do yesterday, that you stressed yourself into a migraine??? :confused3 I'm so glad that you got the outcome that you wanted though!

So, I spend Valentines Day night...continuing where I left off Wednesday night, using my wet/dry vac to suck up water on my basement floor....I'll probably be doing it tonight too! That horrible storm that you all got on Tuesday, hit us Tuesday night into Wednesday. I think most of you remember me saying before that our basement floods, well it flooded BIG time Wednesday, we had over 2' of water. I finally had to call the fire dept for help! It took 5 sump pumps (2 with fire hoses attached) and 3-1/2 hours to clear the water out of the basement! Lot's of damage! The only good thing was that Kellie was sick on Wednesday and begged me to stay home with her...if I hadn't stayed home, the water would have probably risen to the point of hitting our fuse box! :headache: We even made the papers around here, had to laugh last night...stopped to get milk on the way home and I looked down at the local paper and my house was on the front page! :rotfl2:

Acutally I fell at work the other day and got a really bad headache and it kept going on and on then before I knew it 2:00 in the a.m. morning of Valentines I was getting shots for my headache. Thank god they only come like this 1 or twice a year.

Maybe you had a concussion??? :headache:

you so have to scan and post that picture or send us all a link to the paper so we can share!

I am so sorry that your basement flooded :scared1: :scared:

I can't wait until you FINALLY get that ring! You so deserve it! It better be a big honking diamond too!

So how are ya'll's Fridays? I just paid off $10,000 in debt today- sigh. YES, IT FEELS GOOD. But it's kind a bummer too- LOL! I had people on the budget board telling me how good it feels, but you know- nothing feels as good as a Disney vacation ;)

And Linda- I think you are beautiful. Your personality, as is, just makes me want to hug you- and I'm barely ever on here anymore!@

Anyways- we're kicking around boy names and I really like Orlando. Okay- shoot me. I know- that's just where I'd like to be. Do you think Orlando is an ethnic name?

I'll have to scan a couple pictures in for you next week, hubby has my camera now, showing his co-workers why his hysterical wife forced him to come home! Now that I have had time to sit back and think about it, I must have sound like a raving lunatic to the leutenant when I called in and made him track down Shawn Wednesday morning! :rotfl2: It was just total chaos....poor Kellie came up to me at 6:30 Wednesday night and asked when we were going to eat, I never gave her lunch either! We didn't realize the time, and then I felt like such a horrible mom! Luckily there's a pizza place 10 minutes up the road from us!

Basement is still drying out, I'm hoping Shawn did some more cleaning before he left for work this morning! I had the woodstove going when water started pouring in the stove pipe and filled up the inside of the woodstove, so when the water was just about pumped out, Shawn opened the woodstove to try and light it up again and charred pieces of wood and clumpy ashes poured out of it...and proceeded to float all over the basement! It's really gross down there right now! Luckily I have the next 3 days off...so I can really jump into cleaning it up....oh joy! Not how I wanted to spend my long weekend! :scared:

Hey Congrats on paying off $10,000! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: How long did it take you to do that!

I think Orlando is a cute name for a boy...does sound a little ethnic, but hey you could do worse - look at all those horrible names celeb's are naming their kids now a days! :scared1: You're naming him for your most favorite place in the world! :yay:

Throw a pizza in the oven and let her fend for herself isn't that what moms are supposed to ???? :confused3 Just kidding.

I am sure it sounded bad to have Shawn tracked down. I can see that now :lmao:

The poor leutenant asked if it was an emergency, I think I said "h*ll yeah..there's water pouring in the house....find him now!" He found him, but then Shawn had to find someone to come and relieve him...it's not like he can just turn on an out of office response, like I can, and leave! :rotfl2:
