When my father passed away all my mother had to do was tell the bill collectors that my father passed away. Some asked for a copy of death certificate but after that they left her alone. I believe the bills were mostly only in my fathers name and not hers but I am unsure how it worked besides them not being able to collect bills from somone who is no longer here to pay them.

As I was thinking about it I am wondering if the companies had pity on my mother since she was disabled and my father didn't leave her much except enough for his funeral and his pension. She had to sell her house and there was absolutly no profit from it. I am sure she paid the utilities. I think it was just the credit cards that only had his name on them and the hospital bill after he was deceased. No bill collectors ever called us kids and my mother refused to discuss much except that she was not responsible for the bills my father owed. I do remember her being really upset that the hospital he was taken to billed her (grief anger) and she said she refused to pay it. She ended up living with me for a bit over a year after her house sold and now sadly it is almost 9 years later and she is so messed up mentally she won't talk to me.

no need to be sorry My mom do get very upset.. but I just remind her that these peeps are just doing their job... they are not really gaining anything even if they badger you day and night.. justpart of their job... I am sorry about your mom... I just hope mine agrees to move here with me... so I can keep an eye on her... plus it would be a plus if she is here so I will not be going solo to the world anymore...

Tell your mother that she does have the option of hanging up on them if they get rude. I feel for both of you. I remember how hard those times were for family but especially for my mother. Hopefully things will work out for the best for both of you.

Yeah, I think it's 5 or 10 cents a text but no biggie. I think I pay 25 cents for the pics but the ones you send are worth that to me since they are Disney. lol Much cheaper than downloading screensavers. My contract is up next month and I might go with a package that includes texting then. Sadly, you are only one of two people I know that even know how to text message so once I go over my bills a text package might not be worth the cost per month for me anyway. lol Seriously, if I was bothered by the few text messages you sent I would have told you nicely.

I have a beautiful pic of the castle and the Epcot ball from Timmy. Now I have to remember to get the hat at DS and the Tree of Life at AK when I go next week. I am always changing my screensavers on my phone with the pics she sends. Way better than any pics you can download from Verizon. lol

I also wanted to mention that a couple of months ago I bought myself a Cannon SD870 after many months of research. The Cannons always seemed to rate the best in all categories and I wanted compact for the parks. I love playing with it and taking pics by changing the different settings. I am determined to get a good fireworks pic this year with it. I am sure you will love yours too.
