In our household, we voted 100% this show is HILARIOUS! Well written, great cast, just funny!! I think it's the same concept of The Office, so to me, seemed like the cast was given alot of freedom. Loved it, what do you think?

I loved the previews - - but missed it last night.

Nelson said something to me this morning (am I supposed to be listening) about it showing again on Friday. Which works out really well for us b/c you can only record two things at a time to the DVR (which stinks hello technology these days and I can only record two shows? ) and we already had two things recording so we are going to record it Friday night.

I can't wait - it looks like so much fun (with the added bonus that shows like this typically help people see the human side of "non-traditional" families {what the heck is a "traditional" family anyway}) Oh boy! Jenn is on her soapbox today.

We're taping Glee, because we really did fall in love with that one last week! For the first time in a LONG time, we're watching sitcoms again!

You ARE sweet. I don't have the willpower...especially if I were home alone. When I DO have time to myself, and the TV is mine alone, I watch ALL the stuff that drives her crazy!!

We don't have a DVR. And there is something wrong with the audio/buffering on our desktop so watching things on there is not an option. Poor DH is stuck with watching whatever is on when he is awake. Which tends to be COPS and Judge Judy.

DS, on the other hand, watches Grey's, Desperate Housewives, Modern Family, etc. etc.

I thought it was hysterical!! My partner and I were laughing so hard at the lion king part.

How about "Let me see the little potsticker" and "Her name is Lily" ... "Won't she have trouble saying it"

Thought it was just okay. Thought the gay couple was a bit over the top (but they did have the best lines). Liked Cougar Town and Eastwick. Taped Glee so I could burn to DVD!

I am SOOO excited about this show!! I absolutely LOVED the pilot episode, and I cannot wait to see more!!!
It's been a really long time since there was really true "laugh out loud" comedy on TV. I'm so very excited about "Modern Family"!!!! (and Glee too, of course!)

I laughed so hard I was near tears in spots. Jen was busy doing something on her laptop and wasn't paying too much attention to the TV, so she didn't get it when I busted out laughing and couldn't stop (both at the "cream puff" scene on the plane and when the dad shot the boyfriend...) So I had to rewind it and make her watch it. Now she's hooked too...LOL

I give it a definite 2 thumbs up!


ETA: You know, after reading all of the "one liners", I think I'm going to have to watch it again. Like the comment from the dad about Lilly's name and won't she have trouble saying it...I didn't even get that until just now. I caught it last night, but I didn't get the joke until just reading it. I'll have to watch it again this weekend.
