As I understand it the moderates have max cap of 4, with the exceptio of the POR. Is that correc? Can you book POR for party of 5 with meal option?

Yes you can-I just booked our trip for 5 at POR. We stayed there last year and loved it. The Dining package is included for us with 5 and POR Riverside is the only moderate that allows 5 in a room-granted the 5th bed is a trundle for a smaller child (roughly 9 and under). It is a great deal for us!

When I try to book POR for 5 the disney web asks to try another resort due to max capacity of 4.

Do you think the reason is the ages of the children. 6, 8. and 14?

iluvepcot,

I don't know about the webt site, but you certainly would be able to do it through CRO. We didn't need the trundle because we opted for two connecting rooms for our family of five, but I had my 16 year old daughter who is 5'3"/110 lbs lay on the trundle and she was just as long as the trundle and said she would have been perfectly comfortable on it had it been necessary. Try CRO for your reservation, you shouldn't have any problem booking the room. Depending on height, any of your kids shoud do well on the trundle.

It is a beautiful resort...have a great time!

ilovepcot - I had the same problem trying to check prices online for my family of 5 before I called CRO (I was wanting to check my options before booking). Anyway, I discovered if you click under the resorts button to go directly to the POR webpage, then you can get a price for 5. Good luck! :earsboy:

I had the same problem, but there's a way to work around that. First, get a quote on the website for a resort that will let you have 5 - AKL, for example - and then once you get that quote, you can use the 'change details' bar on the left side of the page to select a new resort. It will then let you select POR for a family of five. Odd, I know, :confused3 but it worked for me! Good luck. :smooth:

The disney website is "glitchy" to put it mildly. When I originally booked our Spring Break vacation, the CRO told me there was nothing available at POR, where we had stayed as a family of 5 before. A week later I checked to see if it was available online for the 5 of us, and it was. I called CRO again and was able to change our ressie and save about $600 over the two rooms we had booked at ASMu. So I know you can set up a ressie for 5 at POR online sometimes, but it doesn't shock me that you can't do it now because their website doesn't seem to be very user friendly. Try calling maybe. We love POR I hope you get to stay there too. If you do, try to make it to Boatwrights for breakfasts (you can skip dinner there IMHO) and see if you can catch Bob Jackson the piano man, he's great for all ages. Good Luck :goodvibes
