Moderate rooms able to accommodate 2 cribs?

We are staying at the AKV on the 4/3 deal in March. I just purchased airfare but we had to choose a departure date 2 days earlier than planned in order to get a cheaper rate (oh, darn! :yay:). It will cost us about the same to arrive 2 days earlier on the cheaper flights and pay for 2 nights' hotel vs arrive on our check-in day at AKL. I don't want so spend more than $200 or so per night (therefore, we don't want to extend our stay at AKV) but we'd like to still stay on property. However, we will have two toddlers in cribs so we need as much space as possible in that price range.

So my question is: Are there any moderate resorts that would comfortably accommodate two cribs? I really like the CBR (and I think I read that they have the largest mod rooms) but looking a pics and video, it looks like it may be too small for two cribs?

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Would it give you more room to request a king size bed?

POR alligator bayou has rooms for 5 with a trundle bed that pulls out from under the adult beds. I did not see the ages of your kids but would one be able to use a trundle bed?

We stayed at CRB last october. I had one pack n play for my DS. We put it behind the curtain near the bathroom, so that he could sleep and not see us. We also had 2 full or queen whatever they had. The ONLY way I can see fitting another pack and play in there is if you moved the table WAY over to the side. It would be a really tight fit, you could probably do it, but there won't be a lot of room to move around. I am going to try and see if I have a picture of our room...then I will post it

No advice on the moderates, but wanted to mention that we stayed at AKL (savannah view w/ two queen-size beds) when our middle DS was in a PNP, and that was VERY tight because the furniture is so oversized. I don't think that a second PNP would have fit in there at all unless it was in the bathroom area. What kind of room did you get at AKL?

Thanks for everyone's responses! :goodvibes

Emma'smom - That's not a bad idea but we will have our 3 year old too. Even if we took an inflatable mattress with us, I am assuming it's 2 person occupancy only in a King room?

Amyj1024 - Thanks so much for the information! Sounds like it would be a tight fit. Hmmm. If you were able to find some pics, that would be great!

Nickimomof3 - My 3 year old daughter would be able to use the trundle but we'd still need the 2 pack n plays. My twin boys will only be 14 months. Are those rooms in POR with the trundles any larger than the standard?

Colinsmom- At AKL, we're staying in a 1 BR villa in Kidani Village so we'll have room for 2 pack n plays there!

Aren't Ft. Wilderness cabins considered a moderate? We stayed there when our twins were 10 months old and used 2 Pack & Plays very easily. The bedroom was tight, but it manageable.

sorry none of my pics showed a good shot of the room, you would be able to fit but it would be tight... we LOVED CRB, especially with our 18 month old. He and I got up early and had lots of nice walks around the grounds. Good luck

A king bed room will allow two persons, plus one under the age of three. The OP has a three year old and two under the age of three. Two too many.

We actually were in a king room last year (at POP) - there were five of us. DH, myself, DS (3 at the time), and twin DDs (13 months at the time). DS slept with us in the king bed and we had two pack n plays - which (we thought) fit just fine.

We stayed in POR in a Alligator Bayou room with our twins when they were 14 months. We had 6 people in the room (including the twins) and my older son slept on the trundel (my grandfather was with us and slept on the other double bed). The 2 pack and plays fit right next to each other on the wall next to the TV/bureau. We only stayed there for one night since we were moving into a DVC villa the next day, but it was fine for that one night. It may have seemed crowded after a week, there, but we had room for the night we were there.
