Moderate Resorts and AP rates

I realize this is mostly a guess, but generally are there decent AP rates for moderate resorts, specifically Caribbean Beach? I am about to purchase an AP for a trip in a few weeks, and we are planning a trip next May also to CBR. Just wondering historically what I might be looking at. Thanks!

Discounts are frequently LESS available at resorts serviced by the Skyliner.

I'd expect to see better discount availability at POR.

You can look up historical discounts via Mouse Savers but it's not something you should expect due to the availability issue. So, math out $0 in your budget for the room discount. When discounts are announced check immediately for what you want and if you see something book it then and there, and decide for sure later.

Yep, just checked prices for mid July and AP rate saves $96/night at CBR (~30%) and $133/night at POR (~40%). ETA: Although you might have meant the availability of discounts, not the amount of the discount.

We have a 40% AP discount for POR this month. We have received very good AP discounts for POR of 30% or more. Caribbean Beach usually has a much lower discount, but they still receive one. The AP discount is usually better than the general public discount for all resorts.

You're not usually given the option of an AP rate or rack rate. When AP holders are offered a 40% discount the general public (or D+ or Disney VISA) may be offered a 30 or 35% discount.
