Hi, does anybody know if its ok to use a travel kettle in a moderate room, we are staying at POR and I think we only get a coffee maker, I'm sure in one if the hotels we stayed at we could also request one from reception?
you can do but they take FOREVER to heat up. Have you thought of maybe ordering a proper kettle from the USA Amazon site to be delivered when you are there..or maybe go to Walmart or the equiv when you get there.
Thanks all, it's mainly for if I want a porridge for breakfast in the room so we can have more time to head to the parks earlier, will have a look when we get there, can't remember where we got one from reception, might even have been DLP lol! Thanks for the heads up!
I always take a cheap kettle and dump it there to make suitcase room for coming home. You can pick one up for £10 on Amazon. The new coffee makers also make tea, just use a tea bag instead of a coffee pod. Worked fine for me at the Beach Club last year, just run a couple of water only drinks to flush out the coffee taste before making tea. A kettle is better though.
We're at SSR and you can't get a kettle from them, well they did have one that goes on a stove but we don't have a stove! We're just getting cups of hot water from the food hall. A bit of a pain but we need it for DS's bottles and the times we need it DH is wanting a cup of tea anyway so we'd be going there to get that.
Must have been DLP where we got the kettle from reception then, wouldn't mind but we have 2 brand new travel kettles but dh has put them both in the attic so I don't think there will be any chance of finding them with the amount of junk up there!
