I have done some mockups of a late april 2013 visit to The World. Our last trip we stayed at ASMu, which we loved for the family suite. We are considering a stay this go-round at FWCabins, but for giggles I did a mockup of FWL as well. I am shocked to see that the Cabins actually cost more (by about $100 but didn't expect that as they are Mod vs Deluxe), and ASMu is not significantly less expensive than either of the FW options.

I know I'm looking at a suite vs a standard room at ASMu, but I don't recall there being such a minimal cost difference last time. Am I remembering wrong, or has the family suite price increased to where the cost of a stay at the FW options I mention are only a little bit more expensive?

FWL? Do you mean WL. That would be Wilderness Lodge but I don't know what FWL is.

You basically have a sliding scale. So the cheapest room in the deluxe hotel can actually be cheaper than the most expensive room in the cheap hotel.

That is why I always check different hotels and different room-types as well. :surfweb: You might actually be better off at the expensive hotel :)

It's the same for flying or taking the train anywhere. Just because an airline is low-cost doesn't mean that for you, that day, it's the cheapest option!

I live in the Netherlands, it's easy to take the train to Germany for a weekend-break. One time I was checking the price for a short trip and decided to press the button that said: see what it would cost for travelling first class. The price actually went down!! :rotfl2:

We were travelling in luxury and comfort while others (who just assumed first class would cost more) were crammed in second :rotfl:

ALWAYS check more than one hotel/airline etc etc. Most places use this way of pricing these days, it really pays to check!

The cabins cost a bit more because of thier extra size. They are nice for a larger family with a seperate bedroom in the back, living area with murphy bed, and a full kitchen. It would be hard to compare them to the deluxe standard rooms as they are completely different animals.

We liked them when we stayed in one, but it does change the feel of the trip as they are more isolated and quiet (good or bad depending on what you are looking for). Travel arangements will be very different too if you are used to any of the monorail resorts.
