Does anyone have the Samsung Galaxy 2 or the HTC Sensation? Or just any experience of Samsung/HTC phones - are they good quality, easy to use etc? I guess there's the Sony Eriksson Ray too.

I'm due a handset upgrade and these two look quite good. I don't really want an iPhone or a Blackberry as I've had both and not been really happy with either. The main thing for me is it has to be a good phone for calls and emails. Apps aren't a big feature in my use other than a good map software or ability to run google maps, as I've lost count of the the amount of times I've managed to stop being lost with the help of my phone!

Cheers! :goodvibes

I've got the HTC Desire and my Dad has the HTC Wildfire. He's not exactly a tech wizard but he has managed to set his up to get his emails and he's got loads of apps on it so I would recommend HTC. The only thing that worries me about them is the back cover feels very flimsy if you need to take them off to get to the battery or SIM for any reason - but you should hardly ever need to do that with a phone anyway.

My friend has the HTC one, she said it was really good at first and easy to use, the only thing is that now it goes wrong quite a lot, could just be a one off though.

Me and my bf both have HTCs, I have the wildfire s and he has an older version. He sometimes has problems however I haven't encountered any so far. My friends and family with blackberries and iPhones have far more problems with their phones - I love my HTC!

My daughter has the Samsung Galaxy, she wishes she got the iphone though. I love my iphone and wouldn't want anything else. DD tried to swap but I was having none of it. ;)

Looks like a majority favour the HTC - will go and have a play with the handset in the shops at the weekend :)

Most people I know who have iPhones speak really favourably of them like you Muscateer, but I just don't understand why the contracts for them are usually £5-10 more than for the equivalent on other smartphones!

I've been with o2 for 17 years though, so may see where loyalty gets me!!
