Is this event really worth it? I will be spending an extra $178 for 5 of us and the kids are 8, 15, 16... Should I book this one? I would have to cancel a reservation at Boma (which doesn't bother me). I just want you to be brutally honest before I cancel and buy..

Thanks

Ask yourself a few questions:

-Are you "Halloween people"? Do you like and get into the holiday?
-Do you like the non-ride aspects of MK? Most of the really special stuff at MNSSHP has to do with decorations, parades, fireworks, and general atmosphere (characters roaming around the park in Halloween costumes, storytellers, etc).
-Does the cost bother you? If you just want to ride rides, you probably would be better off just going during a normal day, or during evening EMH hours.
-Are you okay with eating counter svc for dinner? Most of the MK TS restaurants are booked solid for the MNSSHP nights.
-Consider your kids' ages. The 8 year old will probably love it- the older kids might be a bit underwhelmed. MNSSHP is not scary- nothing like the horror-type stuff teens usually think is great.

If you can answer yes, yes, no, and your kids are all excited about it, go ahead and have a ball! If not, maybe it's not for you. We will be going this year, mainly because DD is the perfect age for the party (7), and we don't know if we will get back to WDW at this time of year again, especially when DD is at an age to really love it. Also, if we hadn't saved big $$$ on the Free Dining offer, we would have skipped it.

Whatever you decide, have fun! :wizard:

Also, what's a dinner at Boma going to cost? This is an "off" day as you do not need a park ticket just the MNSSHP ticket to enter the park, perhaps giving you another day's adventure in some other park.

I have not been yet but we ARE a Halloween famiy for sure and love having different things to look at since we were just there in April. It's a win/win for us. But you really have to decide for yourself.

Hopefully you've checked out the MNSSHP sticky at the top of the page. It'll help answer some lingering ? maybe. :)

I would say that it depends on how much of a WDW fan you all are! We love it but then we don't have anything like it in the UK. For the ages of your kids maybe Universal's HHN would be a better option. We've never had to choose as we always try to do both but they are like Chalk & Cheese!! MNSSHP is well done & a "cosy" night whereas HHN will scare the pants off you!!
