MNSSHP $$$$$

Parties cover a full 4 months of the year. Thats a big chunk of time to have to avoid. I already avoid the hot humid crowded summer months!

Humidity is the worst..... But if you got kids in school then you are kinda stuck with three other weeks out of the year that are not as bad unless you want to yank'em out and deal wit...the makeup work....cue dun-dun-dun music. October is still kinda bad humidity wise. But dang why do they have to throw so many party nights in the week that they are going to be busy with week long guests.

The lowest price difference is 6% - the highest is 28%+. After 10% increases last year, in 2 years of 1% inflation, Disney has raised the price of the party from 16% (for the lowest ticket) to 36% (for the highest one).

That's an enormous price increase to eat over 2 years for an event where you take on all the risk (since it's non-refundable) and Disney takes on none. If it rains and they cancel most of the special events, you get nothing back. If you get sick and can't go, you get nothing back. Etc, etc...

It did pour on the NOJ folks last September. You may be onto something. Oh well Disney will be Disney.

It used to be cool to go because you could bang out a ton of the park in a few hours time for a discounted price (if you decided not to go to another park that day). I think we will just add on a second day at Universal this year instead.

It has nothing to do with being able to buy candy cheaper outside the park. For us, it's just part of the Halloween experience. Some people like the shorter ride lines, fireworks, parades or character meet and greets best. We just happen to enjoy the trick or treat candy lines.

Agree... for me and my family we don't waste our time on Character meets. It's just not our thing. But to other folks that's what it is all about. I like the trick or treating...and the shorter lines. It's all about what you want from the experience.

It's just money. We paid to do two parties while we are there - and were able to decrease our multi-day tickets by a couple of days. That "saved" us $200 which made the price of the party less of an issue.
