We r camping Oct 31st to Nov 8th for first time at FW. Just upgraded from pop-up to hybrid TT. Can not wait to come down. Need to get passes to MNSSHP on Halloween night, may be impossible. Anyone know when tickets go on sale? Please let me know. I called Disney but they can not help at this time.:tink:

I've heard through the grapevine they should start coming out around April. I don't know for certain, but this is what I heard. Hope it helps, we can't wait to get ours!

Thanks for that. I will call them again April 1st.

We actually need tickets for 10/31, imagine that.....it is going to be soooo busy that night. We will be arriving at camp around 3-4p, hoping to get set-up quickly and have dinner in MK, then trick-or-treat.

We went to MNSSHP in '04, booked 5 months in advance. It was fantastic!

Whatever you do, don't miss the headless horseman carridge ride at FW, wow was it cool! It departs from PH.....I won't say anymore

Thanks.....sooo excited. My sons r 7 & 5 and I am not sure how they will react but there is nothing in the world that can put a twinkle in their eyes like WDW!

I just read on another thread reservations actually begin May 1st (at least in previous years). Now i'm wondering if its April or May! Oh well, guess we'll try both months.

They usually go on sale May 1st.

Here's a question for the October experienced campers, looks like we will be coming down for the last 2 weeks of October this year instead of our usual 1st 2 weeks of December. We will be able to pick from several party nights including Oct. 31st. But from what I have read, it sounds like it is more fun to stay at the campground on the 31st and go to a party one of the other nights. Any comments on this?

Last year we stayed at The Fort and went to MNSSHP on the 31st. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. However, I felt that we missed out on a lot of fun things to do at The Fort - activities at the Meadows and a fun movie night at the campfire. We are going back this year, but will go to MNSSHP on the 30th instead.

That's what I was thinking too :woohoo:

For those interested in Halloween at the Fort, you might enjoy this trip report:

Halloween 2008 at the Fort

I agree with those who are thinking about staying at the Fort on Halloween night, as opposed to going into the MK for MNSSHP. The party will be very packed on Halloween night. Save your money and enjoy the fun at the Fort. I guarantee that you will have fun.

Well we had to change ressies from Oct 31st to Sept 26th. DH needed these dates off. Kids were actually okay not trick-or-treating in MK, they want to go with friends at home. I told them MK is still decorated for halloween ..... am i wrong?

Plus get to go to WDW a month sooner.....:cool1:

Does anyone know if FW does anything other than Oct 31st?

In 2008, the MNSSHP dates began in September, right after Labor Day, if I recall correctly. The MK was decorated early in September, and chances are you could still take in the party during your trip. The big benefit to you will be much smaller crowds! The Haunted Carriage ride at Fort Wilderness started the first weekend in October last year, so perhaps you could catch that, too.

We are going down the last week of October and the first week of November, and had debated about doing the MNSSHP on Oct 31st but friends talked us out of that date because they had gone one year on that day and it was mobbed.....beyond mobbed. They went again and did the Fort on Oct 31 instead and enjoyed that better.
