MNSSHP What Costume are You Wearing?

Our pirate costumes arrived today. GF and I will be somewhat matching. Otherwise I would ask for an introduction by Stephsparrow.

Quote:My friend is going as The Redhead from pirates.

my son won the "what is our family doing for MNSSHP costumes raffle" so we are doing Peter Pan.... DS is going as Peter Pan, DH is going as Cpt Hook, I am going as Wendy, my moms boyfriend is going as one of Cpt Hooks minions lol.. and my mother is talking of dressing either as another one of Hooks minions or one of the lost boys... she dosent think anyone wants to see an "old lady" in a tinkerbell or tiger lily costume LOLOLOL.... she thought of mrs. darling but it seems like too much to wear in the hot FL sun for Mrs. Darling..

i sure cant wait to get there and see all the other costume ideas people will have....

We keep changing our minds. First we were going to be "tourists" with matching hawaiian shirts (the Hawaiian Mickey's from the Disney Store), but DS has a yen to be Peter Pan right now and, since that idea wouldn't be too hot, if I find a good PP on ebay I will do it. I will go as Wendy and DH and he other two younger boys as Lost Boys or John and Michael.

Maybe I'll go as a pool hopping, 2003 refillabable mug toting, Pop Warner Cheerleader from Brazil. ;)

Ok, not many things have made me laugh today, but THIS did! :rotfl2:

I, of course will be coming as the Conga Queen toting beanee weenees.

Wow, that's cool. My family were thinking of the same theme. We'd have Fred, Wilma, mother-in-law, pebbles and bam-bam. What night are you going?

We are 2 families going as Fred, Wilma, and 3 Pebbles then Barney, Betty and 2 bam bams.
I'm still not used to this, so it's posted on page three also. But to Karen: Our family is doing the same theme. We'll have a Fred, Wilma, mother-in-law, pebbles, and BamBam. What night will you be there?

I'm going Sept. 22 as well. Look out for me as Tia, and come say hi!

Wow! There some cute costumes listed. I'm going September 15th. :cheer2:

I can't decide . . . I may buy a tiara and go as a Texas Princess. :thumbsup2

Or, I my just buy a MNSSHP t-shirt and just wear that.

I also thought about buying some cute PJ's (decent that cover everything and are not offensive) at the Emporium with some Disney house shoes, carrying a stuffed Pooh bear and wearing my hair in pig tails. I sure would be comfy! And then once I get back to my hotel room I can just go straight to bed. Works for me! Talk about time management at its finest! :teeth:

My 10 year old son and I are going as pirates. My son uses a wheelchair , we are making a cover for his wheelchair into the shape of a pirate ship....the stern of the ship! He is very excited! He will be sitting in his ship. Ahoy to all!

Pictures, pictures, I want to see some pictures! :Pinkbounc That sounds absolutely too cool! What fun!

Oct. 24th.Oh well. Have a blast.

I am going as a modest belly dancer. Anyone with original ideas for my DS 3 and DH? I am not creative.

We'll be there on Sept 15 this year. We always dress for Not So Scary! I love Halloween though and we always dress at home too (usually different costumes though). This will be our 3rd Not So Scary at Disney.

These pics are from our first year at MNSSHP in 2003. Myself and my dd (I was pregnant with dd#2 at this time) were Snow White and the old witch/queen:

The CM's loved the Old witch! They kept saying how they'd never seen anyone dress up like her before. My dh would snicker, thinking mean things about me being a natural for the costume or something. lol

Dh and ds were Pirates. Ds is the sleeping boy and Dh is the one with the red bandana. The other pirates are Disney CM's:

We're being star wars this year. Dh = Vader. Me = Leia DS1=anakin ds2 = baby chewy dd1= padme dd2= yoda. Here are some pictures of our costumes but these were taken at home. We haven't worn them at disney yet.

Yoda was a store-bought costume.

I was pregnant last year in these pictures. but I made my dress to fit me pregnant or not. We made Darth's costume too - not the helmet though! lol

We are going to try to ship the costumes this year. They are too much of a pain to fly down with us!

Awesome Costumes.

Your hubby might want to think about donning a bald cap. MNSSHP doesnt allow costumes with masks that dont show your face. Even though thats pretty darn cool.

Good luck!

Hey neighbor! :wave2: I live down the road in Lewisville. I will also be at MNSSHP on Sept 15.

No masks? hmmm... Yes, I think we may have to do mask-less Darth. That may be fun to create! lol. We'll need the bald cap and good make-up!! LOL

I remembered that "real Darth's" mask opened by the top being taken off of the mask not by the mask and helmet way ours opens. I may have to look around for a different helmet in which the bottom can be left for authenticity reasons. My dh wants to be as authentic as possible all the time! He and my older ds are Star Wars nuts! ok... just talking out loud. I'm going now to scour the internet for a better mask!! lol

ScrappinGran, I'm with you. I am either going to be wearing a Boston Red Sox or New England Patriots shirt & hat. I am afraid that if I dress up too much, I am going to be too hot.

:rotfl: DH and I were thinking the same thing!!! :rotfl: It WILL be right around playoff time when we go late Sept/early October for the Sox  I was trying to find something along the lines of a Patriot's cheerleader costume for me and trying to get DH to wear a Tom Brady or Tedy B jersey :rotfl:
