How will the kids feel if other kids are more dressed-up than they are? What are their ages and attitudes?
I have a friend who decided to dress her kids in very lightweight outfits instead of a costume -- two girls ages 4 and 6. She either dressed them in Halloween PJs or Halloween t-shirts with PJ shorts or cotton pants, not sure which, but I think it was full PJs, and they loved it. I remember she told me that she let them pick their outfits out, which helped.
SHE loved it because she didn't have to undress the kids when they returned "home" to AKL. They were already wearing their PJs!
I'm not sure if they did the free face painting, I'd have to check. I know they did the face painting in the past.
We have an 11 year old......probably the best able to handle the heat.....which for our clan isn't saying much.
A 7 year old who we call our "little artic researcher" We had to drag her out of a outdoor, unheated pool in late may....water temp....61. She wilts over 70.
A 3 year old......typical of our family, but heat cause severe personality disorder.

1 year old who goes with the flow....at this point, seems to handle heat well.
Two parents, late thirties, Anything over 80 is HOT and are always tired.

I will talk to the older ones about our options and my thoughts..........maybe hunt for a princess costume....lightweight for the 3 year old, and go with the prehistoric loin cloth look for the 1 year old. (by that i mean...just a diaper)

And, I'm ALL for getting the kids candy! If I run into you
It's tradition on our first morning to go to MK and get a croissant from that wonderful bakery. We arrive in MK on the 4th. I'll be so bummed without my croissant.
Thanks for the heads-up tho.
Thanks again!
Oh well.
