MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

Sorry if this has been mentioned. If you can still get a dinner ressie for the Liberty Tree before your party do so. We did, at about 5:30 as I recall. By the time we finished up with our meal and photos it was about 7:15. When we walked outside we couldn't believe how much the park had transformed.

Alot had to do with the special lighting "ghosts" and such since when we entered for dinner it was light and exited into the "bleakness and horrors of a moonlit Magic Kingdom Mwaaa haa haa".

I enjoy this party much more than MVMCP.

Dress as one of Disneys most recent film characters, is there a new one coming out, and your treated like gold. My son dressed like Sully, we were there during opening week, and you would have thought he was royalty.

Does anyone know which stores have the most selection of MNSSHP memorabilia in the Magic Kingdom? What kind of items do they normally have, any pics??? Do they have the stuff in the stores all day or just special for the party??
Can i use the bday gift card for it?

The Emporium has the most merchandise but some little shops will have some merchandise was well. I remember I got a MVMCP sweatshirt right outisde Pirates one year.

Each time we have gone there have been carts around the Castle area wtih items that are exclusive to the parties. We have bought the CD with the party music on it and they had pins and shirts and all kids of odds and ends. Hope that Helped. Booo To You!

Let me just say I have NEVER been to MNSSHP (going 2x this trip though) but I have been to MVMCP a couple times so I'm going to assume it's pretty much the same set up.

I have always found t-shirts, stuffed animals etc. in the Emporium (it's the huge store on your left as soon as you pass onto the straight part of main street)

There are other places to shop for party stuff but this is the place I found carried most if not all available. Other people might have different experiences but I always bought T-Shirts, Sweaters, Stuffed animals, etc here.


If you are a pin collector (like me LOL) you will only find the pin frame for the party in Frontierland in Frontier Trading Post it's across from Country Bear on the same side of the street. If you are buying the frame have it shipped to your house it is free (well it was for the last couple times I did it LOL) although it comes awhile after you are home it's a nice surprise when it does show. Plus you don't want it in your luggage to break

Now I am a pin collector and they had other pins large puzzle pins and jumbo party pins in the back of Town Square Exposition Hall (where Tony's Town Square is located) in 2007. I don't remember going in there in 2008.

Darn, I just realized we bought tickets for 10/9 -- and that's Columbus Day weekend! Yikes -- I bet it's going to be crowded.

I finally got our Disney bags last night -- the closest Disney store only had two left, but she would not hold them for me. So I called the other store and she had plenty and put five aside for me. I picked them up after work. Taking three with us, and giving the other two to Disney-loving co-workers They are even cuter in person and so colorful. I love the striped straps. And it has such a nice sturdy plastic bottom insert.

My daughter has already claimed one when we return to keep in her car to join her other re-usable shopping totes.

Anyone who lives in Joisey -- Deptford Mall still has quite a few. Call them and ask them to put them aside for you.

Hello fellow MNNSHP DISer's ~ I'm wondering if someone would purchase a few of the Disney Store bags for me, our nearest store is at least 90 minutes away and while they'll ship them to me that would cost $11 or $12! I'd be happy to pay you in advance through paypal. I figure they'd fit in a flat rate priority mail box/bag and ship for $5 or so.

I tried to do this but it's fully booked!! I guess alot of people go for this option, i think we're going to eat at Lunch in DTD and then head to MK for the afternoon parade. Hoping alot of people will leave after parade so we'll enjoy rides before 7pm when we'll get started on the party!!

I bought the Magic Kingdom Event Party Music CD in the candy store in March. It has music from MNSSHP and P&PP (plus some bonus songs). I think it was about $20.

I have a question: We're dining at Sanaa at 5:00 PM and then plan on heading to MNNSHP from there, via bus. Our tickets are being held at the MK, and I assume we'll arrive around 7-7:30 PM.

Is this poor planning? How crazy will it be if we arrive at that time? I know a lot of people will be leaving the park . . . but going in, is it a madhouse?

I'm getting ready to buy tickets for the first night of our 8 day stay. If I get there and it is raining, would I be able to exchange our tickets for another night?

Last time we went to MNSSHP it rained horribly. There was thunder and lightning and we ended up in sweating in ponchos the whole night. You couldn't even see the kids' costumes. Disney offered no refund, but the tickets do say rain or shine. Even the CM who sold them over the phone said rain or shine. Next time I'll just pay a little extra at the gate and get them once I'm there. That way I'll have a better idea of the forecast.

Let me add that we still had fun. Once it stopped raining around 9 or 10pm a lot of the people that couldn't "wait it out" left and we walked onto every ride. We got crazy amounts of candy on our way out of the park that night! Perhaps a guilt offering or a reward for having put up with such bad weather.
