MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

Where did all this "little" bag stuff come from, for ToTing? I saw pics earlier of the bags they hand out for ToTing and they were a great, shopping bag size. Now I'm reading they are the size of a sandwich bag? Where am I getting confused, :rotfl2:? I don't think I will be able to get to a Disney store before they sell out and I didn't really want to buy one if I can get a decent free one....

some people say they are bigger than a little brown paper bag, some people say they are the size of one.

I heard Disney gives you another bag if you fill 1 bag up so no worries.

I think if the bag IS the size of a little brown paper bag that is a perfect size. How much candy do people really need? This is coming from an overweight candy junkie :thumbsup2

I didn't know that Disney gave out any bags so while I was in Hershey PA last week I pick up a large Disney Halloween bag to trick or treat with. Had I known Disney gave out bags I wouldn't have bought one. I will however take one to scrapbook with :rotfl:

the bags they give out are very small. We just bought one at walmart and brought it. It's a pillowcase size and material with a Halloween design. It's easier to carry too because it came with a drawstring long enough to put over your shoulder. We ended up with 10lbs of candy between me and my DH.
That's even after eating it for 1.5 days. I weighed it when we got home. :thumbsup2

While I agree that those trick or treat bags from the Disney Store are Cute...DH and I were completely fine with the ones that they give out at the party. They seem small and flimsy, but believe me, they can hold A LOT of candy! I'm willing to bet that we each had almost 5lbs in our bags when we got back to the hotel. It lasted us the whole week we were there and we even had to throw some of it away because we had no room to carry it on the plane with us...no probs this year though! We're Driving! :thumbsup2

There will be eight of us at the party. The (3) kids are usually allowed three pieces of trick-or-treat candy a day after Halloween, so same applies for this. The adults may eat some, but I'm thinking eight people times approximately five pounds of candy = not buying candy to hand out at the house this year!!

I just have to thank everyone for their contributions on this thread. I am SO excited for my first MNSSHP on 10/20. I will be dressing up as will my neice (who will be 6 months) but the other 4 adults in the family may wear Halloween shirts but no costumes. I MIGHT be able to convince my Mom to wear a witch's hat.

I just don't know what I want to be yet....so many fun choices to choose from!

I did a search, but can't find a picture of the illusive Halloween Disney bags:) I have someone willing to hit some stores, but I wanted to give them a picture. Any help:) or re-post of those bags would be great:)

Just adding the picture here too....in case any one else is as challenged as me!

Hi, I'm sorry if this has already been asked- haven't read through the entire thread yet. I know some characters at MNSSHP don't do autographs, Snow White, Villans, but do any do autographs. Specifically Daisy- DD really wants her autograph and I am hoping to be able to get it at the party. TIA.

Does anyone know which stores have the most selection of MNSSHP memorabilia in the Magic Kingdom? What kind of items do they normally have, any pics??? Do they have the stuff in the stores all day or just special for the party??
Can i use the bday gift card for it?

I found my shirt last year in the store next to Casey's on Main Street.

If anyone is near Myrtle Beach, the Disney store at Broadyway at the Beach has the Halloween bags. I'm here a week, so I have time to decide I if we need them or not. The bags we got last year were the size of a lunch bag. We didn't fill them, but also didn't want tons of candy.

Yes, it's held rain or shine. It POURED last year on us! Pochos were our best friend.:rolleyes1

My beloved hubby picked up our Halloween bags today. In Charlotte, I think at the Concord Mills. The lady hadn't even put them out yet. He mentioned he thought he would buy 2 now and come back for more later on if we needed them and she said they would be gone as soon as she put them out. He got 5 instead! I told him to send me a pic (he's out of town) but I haven't got one yet.

I got 10 bags today, I'm getting 2 for a fellow DISer and then we need 5, I figure that leaves 3 for me to maybe give to unsuspecting kiddos I run across in the park ;)

Boomer!

Sooner!!

We'll be going to MNSSHP on Oct 6! Planning on BBB for DD4, then CRT, then MNSSHP! Trying to get my money's worth out of the BBB appointment! She will be going as Cinderella.
