MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

Do the crowds thin considerably before a midnight closing on a MNSSHP night? I think this will be my latest night in the parks and wonder if I'll be fighting for a bus that late?

We usually leave after the second parade, so around 11:00p and there is a MAD rush to the exit on Main Street. We usually wait it out a bit and then head out. But yes, there was lines for the buses. We probably waited for 4 buses before we could get on.

My advice is if you wait till Midnight, wait for the crowd to die down and then head out.

This was my experience as well... we ended up thinking... we should have at least rode more rides or something before we left in order to skip some of these lines.

Right. I think if you are going to stay late, stay late and wait it out inside MK. Don't leave MK till at least 12:30a. Wait in comfort for the crowd to die down. :thumbsup2

I couldn't find anything on the Disney Visa site, could you tell me a little more about this? Is this an online thing or at the Disney stores? :confused3 I'd love to see what's coming out for this season.

I found it on the disney rewards site under news and offers. On the right side there is a section named "Come have a Ball" click it there it talks about a 10% discount and a downloadable ticket to enter the Disney Store at 9am-10am to preview the new merchantdise and a free gift

I hope this help. Sorry I took so long to respond. Hope you find it

Thanks for getting back to my question. I did find the information to the sneak preview but I won't be able to attend (leaving for DL :woohoo:) If you go, tell us what the peeks are.

Have a great time in DL :woohoo:
I am going to try to go for the sneak peak (hope nothing comes up) so if all goes well I'll tell ya what I saw. Hoping the free gift is good. Maybe it'll be a trick or treat bag :rolleyes1 I could dream cant I :lmao:

I just bought these the other day!! I bought them for the kids....but now I think I may have to go back & get the adults some too. I loved the bags! They have Mickey & the gang dressed up & trick-or-treating. Awesome for $2.50 a piece!! They are really wide (didn't open them in the store, so I was pleasantly surprised!) and made of fabric. Got them at a Disney Store on Long Island - they had others that were non-Halloween too.

We'll be at MNSSHP Oct 1 (my bday:woohoo:). Staying at POR! :)

We will be at MNSSHP on the first too, and we are also staying at POR! :thumbsup2

Has anyone been told by CM at Disney Store when the bags are "supposed" to be put out? We are heading to Myrtle Beach for Labor Day & was wondering if they will be out by then? TIA

Kim

We stayed until the very end of the party. So late in fact, that I had to BEG to be let into the candy store ( Goofys??) to buy soda and water. We found that they weren't into letting us stay so much after the official closing. Meaning even the stores were closing....not like how on a regular night they are open at least another hour. And while we felt the parks were relatively empty the whole night, we did wait 45 minutes for a bus. This was mid September last year. I'd still do the same game plan...stay late, but I'd really wait until they swept us out of the MK. I'd rather meander there than wait in line for a bus. I will say, we were staying at ASM, and I did find it to be the slowest bus service of anywhere we have ever stayed.

What is "County Bounty" in Fantasyland? Is that where the carriage is?
County Bounty is actually in Toontown. That list seemed to have Toontown and Fantasyland lumped together for some reason.

Does anyone know if there are queues of traffic getting out the car parks too??

I called last night about the bags, they told me to try back on Monday, I'm gonna give them a few days n call back, don't wanna miss them LOL

I cannot wait. This will be our 4th year doing ghosts from the Haunted Mansion at MNSSHP. We are 6 adults, no kids. This is our favorite time of the year to head down to Disney!

We will be attending two parties this year. We will go in costume on Sept 29th and not in costume on Oct 1st

Here is a picture of us from 2007 - Disney actually asked if they could take our pictures in the studio. It has, by far, been the best 'free' souvenier we have ever recieved!
