MNSSHP questions

I asked this elsewhere and did not get an answer. I heard that the Headless Horseman only rides for the first parade of the night. I was wondering of anyone can confirm this or of you've been to the second parade and seen him too. Also, do they still tell the story of the Headless Horseman by the Liberty Bell in Liberty Square before the parade begins?
TIA :goodvibes

I am very excited that touringplans is predicting a MNSSHP for 10/12....my birthday :) That would be fabulous!!

jackskellingtonsgirl - A question about eating at CP. Were the Pooh characters in costume for your meal as well? I would rather eat there than LTT (although really, either would be fine). Did you get one of the last seatings, or do you remember how late the seatings were that they offered?

Thanks for any information!

The characters were just "normal", the way you would see them any other time. I am not sure how late they were taking ADRs. I wanted to eat around 5 PM so we would have time to finish and not miss a minute of the party. I think I remember seeing people who had times as late as 7 PM at LTT, which would mean they were eating for the first hour or so of the party. It was well before 7 PM when we left CP. We wandered over to Adventureland and the CMs at the treat stations were already set up and calling us over to get treats! I think we went from the treat station over to ride Pirates, and from there we never encountered anything that was closed. We were trying to head over to HM when I noticed people getting seats for the parade, so we sat down in front of the Christmas shop and waited. The parade was absolutely fabulous. I wish DS would have been in the mood to stay 'til the end, but at least there wasn't a huge line for the bus!

The headless horseman rides before both parades as long as the streets are not wet.

I think this info is either correct or close to it...they announce dates in April, tickets go on sale in May...days for the parties are Sun, Tues, and I'm not sure about the other days but am thinking Friday?

Does anyone else know?

We saw the headless horseman last year, it was pretty neat. The first parade had been canceled due to rain so it was packed. We saw the fireworks, which were awesome! and then fought the crowds to the Liberty Square/Frontierland turn to watch the parade. It was very fun!
