Hi everyone!

I am wondering, if you had to choose between MNSSHP or Hoop-De-Doo, which one would you pick? We can't choose both for money reasons. Thanks!!

 :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I've never been to MNSSHP, but I loved Hoop-De-Doo. I went as a kid with my parents and loved it! I went back with my DS and we got a table right next to the stage in the center ("best seat in the house"). Of course, we'd made our reservations like 6 months in advance. It was so much fun! I can't wait to go back again when my kids are a little older.

If you haven't ever done MNSSHP you have to do this it is the best (IMO) extra event at Disney.

I would definately choose MNSSHP. I went to both last time we were there and I personally feel Hoop-dee-doo is a waste of money.

Have done both, and in my opinion, MNSSHP is good to do once. Our kids are grown but occasionally travel with us to WDW, this past October we had the occasion of doing MNSSHP for the first time. It was new, different, alot of fun but not something I care to do again for the money. Adults with kids might feel differently.

We really enjoy the HDDR. Great for an evening in FW. Really good food and plenty of drink, beer and sangria, corny entertainment, which we enjoy and alot of laughter and fun. We've seen this production over 20 times, hasn't changed much, but still enjoy it. About an hour and a half, secluded FW area, horse barn and EWP from the beach. We enjoy the old stand-bys at WDW. Its a good evening to escape the crowds of the parks but still be in the atmosphere of Disney. More money then MNSSHP, but you don't really get a ton of candy at Halloween. EMH's would suit us to replace that evening.

Our pick, Hoop Dee DO Revue.

I have not done the Hoop-De-Doo but the MNSSHP is really cool. I scheduled this years trip just for it.
Take care

I'm with the majority, do the MNSSHP.
I've done both and would definately pick MNSSHP ove HDDR.
Not that there is anything wrong with HDDR, the food and good and the show is fun but with MNSSHP it's kind of like more bang for the buck, ya know.

Our best night of our two week trip was MNSSHP :thumbsup2 . It was so much more fun than I imagined, since we are two adults without kids. The atmosphere was just so cool along with all the decorations, candy, special shows and music..It's a definite do again for us for sure!

I've never done Hoop-De-Doo before but did MNSSHP for the first time last year and we had a blast! I guess I really don't have much interest in paying that much money for a meal and a show, but I would like to try it out at some point. But i'd pick MNSSHP if you had to choose.... it's great.

What a tough question!
We are going in October and I suggested to DH that we just do HDDR. ( I am the "no" gal he is the "yes" guy) He says we should do both kids are only this age once.....
But if I had to pick I would say HDDR. Such a great show and the food was really yummy too.

As a matter of fact I was thinking of waiting to get tickets for MNSSHP Oct 5th. Just thinking What if it rains? That would really stink. I am also planning that Oct 5th be an "off" day for us. Last time we went to use a park day for daytime then pay to go at night was a little much for me.

MNSSHP is a great time- start thinking about htose costumes!

My passporter says that HDDR gives you complimentary beverages (beer). Is this correct?

I would not call it "complimentary".

But unlimited beverages (including beer) are INCLUDED in the price of the meal.

BTW, the TIP for your server is also INCLUDED in the price.

There are a lot of responders on this thread who have picked MNSSHP over Hoop, who have NEVER DONE the Hoop (one or two notatble exceptions) and that's OK. But I think there are a few things that should be said about the Hoop.

The Hoop is one of the most succesful stage shows in the world.
It has had tens of thousands of performances (and virtully no CHANGES in script) since Pioneer Hall was built back in the 1970's.

While it is "expensive", that does not stop most performances (as many as three seatings a day) from being completely sold out.

You can make ressies up to two years in advance (and you may still need to "pick another night" to find a seat when you call).

Hoop is certainly not everyone's favorite (what attraction IS?), but it must have an amazing appeal... for many of us go at least once every YEAR.
And when I am sitting in that rustic room watching (and laughing at) the "same old show" and chowing down on the chicken and ribs... I'm "back home at Disney World" and don't think a bit about the price of admission.
