I know this probably isn't the best day to go but it is the only day I can go. I can't get down any earlier. My DS will be 3 1/2 and loves Halloween. We're still watching Halloween videos, LOL. I think he would love this. Is it so crowded its not worth going???

We went on Halloween 01 and while there were a lot of people, I didn't find it to be too bad. Lots of people are in the lines to get their pictures taken at the beginning of the night. Take advantage of it and go on the rides you like most. Have your picture taken later.

I am glad we went on Halloween night. It made it a little more special for me.

We were there last year for MNSSHP on Halloween, and it was fantastic! It was crowded, but most people were lined up for candy and photos. We walked right up onto the rides for most of the night. We got there right at the start, and the candy queues were very short, as guests were not quite sure of what to do. We got candy at 3 stations (Main Street, and 2 in Adventureland) without any lines whatsoever.

About an hour later, the candy lines were pretty long (5 minute wait), so we started going on more rides, bypassing the large crowds. After the fireworks (which were so amazing!) the park started to empty out, and CMs were handing out tons of candy. By that time, the photo places were practically empty, and CMs were almost begging people to come get their picture taken.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping maybe there would be a Nov 1 st date but that would probably be just as bad b/c its a saturday.

We did MNSSHP on Halloween this past October. Even though we had a choice of 2 other nights that week, we felt it just wouldn't be the same not doing something special on Halloween night so we chose to go that night.

I felt it was crowded; more than the 2 MVMCP's we've been to BUT we focused on trick or treating and the parade since we have 2 DD's who wanted to celebrate Halloween. Although it seemed very crowded, the Trick or Treat lines went VERY fast.

We entered the park before it closed and ate dinner at LTT. We finished eating before the party started so we had to stay outside LTT till the park officially opened. There was a photo place right outside the restaurant so we were first in line for it. Then we did Haunted Mansion and then Trick or Treated our way over to Fantansyland, Tomorrow Land and then Toontown. We did the Barnstormer while there. Then we headed back to Fantasyland and it was pretty crowded (around 9:00p). Then our DD got very sick so we missed the fireworks searching for a changing of clothes and then we waited for the late parade while both DD's slept.

My advice is to go early and avoid the first parade.

Good luck!

We did Halloween night 2 years ago and it was crowded but we loved it....Last year we did the sunday before....the crowds were not as bad and it was just as fun.....If Halloween night is the only night you can go....go for it and enjoy....and when you get your picture do it at the beginning of the evening (everybody seems happier).....and the picture taking places at the back of the park have shorter lines...

Based on our experience on Halloween 2000, I'll agree with all the previous posters; there seemed to be a lot of people in the park, but line were not bad. We waited maybe 10 minutes at Haunted Mansion and Space Ranger Spin, and the parades were crowded (what parade isn't?), but it was a lot of fun and I thought it was cool being there on Halloween!

if it helps you any at all--I'm not sure that it will....there is a MNSSHP scheduled for Oct 30. The CM that I spoke to this AM asked me which dates I was interested in because he wanted me to know that Halloween usually sells out before the other days--certainly not an immediate sellout, but that night's tickets go quicker than the others. The CM also told me to check back periodically over the next few weeks, that tickets should be on sale soon. yay!:bounce:
