MNSSHP Oct. 16 Parade - So Incredible!

We just got back today and I am thrilled to say that our family was asked to take part in the MHSSHP Parade on Sunday, Oct. 16th! It was a once in a lifetime deal for us and I still cannot believe it.

For anyone who was there - we were in the early parade. We were in the 2nd vehicle. My DS and DD were on one side dressed up as Captain Hook and Tinkerbelle. My DH was dressed as Jack Sparrow and I was sitting behind him dressed up as a female pirate (there was some other lady dressed up as a pirate in front of him as well).

If anyone on the DIS was there who has photos or video of us in the parade, I would love to get them from you! I would pay to get a copy of a parade video that shows us if anyone has it.

I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it is to ride down Main Street as part of the parade - we will never forget it.

There was another family from the DIS who was a part of the same parade that night - it was so funny to meet someone randomly and find out they are DISers as well!

Just had to share what a wonderful time we had!

joll43 - I can't see your pictures! It is pretty funny. It was funny to actually be in a vehicle driving down Main Street with thousands of people waving to you and taking the pictures. Like I said, it was a once in a life time experience for my family! If you are willing - I would love to have you e-mail the photos to me. Let me know and I will send you my e-mail address!

What a magical moment. We have had a lot DIS families lately get picked to be in the MNSSHP parade's. I'm hoping someone will have some photo's to post of you and your family.

We were the other DIS family in the 8 pm parade. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. We also would like any photos/video that any of you might have. We were in the 2nd to last car and my family was dressed as characters from Hercules. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Deb - Welcome back! Hope your family had as great of a vacation as we did. I am still hoping that we both find someone on the DIS who was there and has pictures or video for us! My DH is still in awe over the whole experience of being in a Disney parade!

Others can't see pictures linked directly from Kodak. For those getting red X's you can right click on the X and then click on properties and then copy and paste that into a new web page to view the photos.

Add us to that list of DIS families! We were in the parade on the 20th, at 10 pm. I haven't had any time yet to post to see if anyone has pics of us. We were in the double decker bus. It was an amazing experience!

I have tried several things to see the photos - I use a Mac and can't follow the directions given above.

I am so happy that DIS families are being picked to be in the parade. It is exciting to read that others were able to experience being in a Disney parade!
